The Theurge sat in what appeared to be a trance. Gis eyes stared ahead of him yet were devoid of expression. With the invisible waves he was now attuned to, he had to focus on finding the right signal. Filtering down through the frequencies, he eavesdropped on a police radio. If there was one thing to pay attention to first, it was the cops.

"Physics, definitely physics. That." A finger towards the not really a freezer but totally looks like one. "Is way beyond me."
"I can make that invisible..probably. But that'd make it give off even more waves." Quick glances are thrown towards Star and July. "If you're cool with that of course."
"If we get pulled over.." Arthur's voice trails off and he goes back to looking out a window. Foot successfully shoved into mouth.

As Star started asking about cops Emrys set the shotgun on the floor in the back of the van, laying his backpack down on top of it. While he didn't doubt Avis's ability to handle the situation he didn't want to worsen the situation with visible weapons. Then July started telling them how to handle the police, and the Councilor quirked an eyebrow. Anybody remember that time July almost got gunned down by cops in a parking lot for drawing loaded weapons at gunpoint? Emrys did, and he didn't trust July's judgement regarding authority figures for a minute because of it.
"If we get pulled over and they do a search of the van it might be worth turning the shotgun invisible to keep it out and available." He said with a look to Arthur before returning his attention to the others. "I could put it away, but I kinda think this or the rest stop are going to be Vector's best chances to make his move."
In big fat letters, the sign asks for $5.25. At least this isn't the Golden Gate Bridge, a cashless toll, that will bill you later if you don't pay in advance, on the internet.
Language is an interesting thing. Stay long enough among a certain sub-group and the nomenclature, vocabulary, and jargon all make a weird sort of sense. A sense that those outside, have to try to parse. Cops are no exception. From a surface analysis, Ermac can guess that everything is clear, given the bored tone in the voices. But with all of the Bravo Charlies and reports of clear traffic and other code words, the Theurge only knows that there's more. Not that he knows what that 'more' is.
There's only a couple of cars in front of the group now.
A woman with a high-visibility jacket and a hair style that was in fashion 25 years ago, makes change and prints out receipts.

"Anyone got 25 cents?" July said to the group. He had a five but he hardly ever carried change. While he waited for a response he looked around.
