(1502) Meeting of the Enchanters

[Miach]

As he had done last time, Miach had once booked the private dining room from the Tower Bridge Bistro.

Last time, he had hoped the scenery would help set people in a relaxed mood, and now he prayed for it. Sipping a glass of pina colada, he double-checked the arrangements. A couple of tables had been set side by side to provide a resting place for those who would like to sit, and he had kept the business-like center tables. On the far side was the buffet, full of the bistro's tantalizing specialties, and he did his best not to look in that direction. He had even warned the staff that this might be a heated meeting.

Soon, the first guests would arrive, and the meeting would actually start. He had no idea what would happen... and doubted anyone had.

[Aurora]

Faye had been excited when she saw the posting for a Path meeting. And she was very glad they hadn’t had one while she was away. She picked out a blue blazer her mother had gotten for her, claiming it played off her eyes. Which was paired with white jeans and blue heels. A quick twirl in the mirror and she was ready to go.

The GPS lead the way and soon she was trying to find parking. If she hadn’t of dressed up she would have taken the bike Striker had gotten for her. With the car parked, she walked a little to the restaurant eager to touch base with everyone.

As she walks in, she realizes she must be early, a first for her. She shrugs away the thought as she sees Miach and breezes over to him.

Wide smile on her face, “Miach! Good to see you, hope you’ve been well.” Greets the Enchantress.

Consilium had left a bitter taste in Apollo's mouth, the infighting and politics he tried his best to avoid both in Los Angeles and now here. Part of him wondered if the Path Councilor would show up or avoid having to explain what the hell happened. Regardless, it would be an interesting meeting of Fools.

The Talon walked into the bistro with his standard flannel and jeans, greeting the two already in the private room with a quick smile, mildly unsure who he should be addressing first. "Hey folks." He starts. Introductions first, he turns to Faye. "I'm Apollo, how's it... uh, going?" He offers, then turns to Miach "Hey Miach, after things get settled here, I wanted to talk to you about Cabal business." Probably best not to take the focus away from whatever the Enchanters had planned today.

[Emrys]

Emrys was not looking forward to this. Or maybe he was, because accountability was definitely a thing worth mentioning. He heard Pepper say it plain and simple, Nous wrote the requirements in and left two Paths without representation unless they bow down down for dictator Nous. It was their Councilor that started this, and their Provost that exposed it to Emrys unintentionally.

But that was then. Rage passed and it was time for the Path to bring it's representative forward to answer for her actions. It was obvious the political ambitions of Panthera Nox motivated at least part of that Charter, and putting cabal before Path was not how a representative was supposed to operate. Ergo, Lucy has some splainin' to do.

The Syndic was nervous as he approached. Last time the Acanthi saw him he was 'that guy' yelling about conspiracy theories and getting hushed by the Heirarch. It wasn't the best second impression to leave on his peer group. Still, the Enchanter entered the Bistro and found his way to the others.

"Hey folks." Emrys said with a wave before a finger began to dart between the three. "Miach, Faye, aaaaaand Apollo* right? Nice to see you again."

Assuming Apollo and Emrys know each other because they met in the Archangel thread which started a while before this and I want to avoid the weird timey wimey thing where we keep pretending we never met.

[Crowley]

Crowley appeared dressed in his customary black: black coat to block out the chill, black jeans, black boots. Finding the same venue as before he nodded in agreement. Seeing the others his shoulders sank slightly. They all knew why they were here.

"Hey guys. Faye! Miach. Emrys... Apollo! How you doing, man?" Friendly words seemed to flatten in the air. Leaving the words to hang in the warm air, the Herald and Emissary went scrounging for a seat.

[Pepper]

Pepper sighed, shoving a hand back through her hair as she entered the Bistro. She really should have gotten back to Miach on her response earlier, but she hadn't been able to get a hold of Nous in time.

They might as well go with it, considering the sticky situations Nous had wound the Consilium into. She couldn't help remembering that conversation back at the Duel when it was just four of them, and what Nous had said then. Sighing, she headed over to the Host of the meeting and gave a strained smile. "Sorry, Miach, I definitely should have confirmed that this was fine. At the very least, Elle and I didn't have any fees associated with Cancelling reservations, though I would have been willing to refund you those. Things have been... a bit stressful, for me recently, and I should have been relieved to see you taking initiative."

Fluke found his way to the Bistro, having seen the notice about a Path meeting being held there that evening. As he joined the others, the Libertine quickly recognized most faces of those who were gathered there. All except for one actually. A grin formed across his lips as he spotted Faye , who he hadn't seen or talked to in some time.

"Hey folks," he said in greeting, offering a quick wave to the gathered mages. He figured that the meeting would likely focus on the events of the most recent Concilium, but before they got down to it, he hoped they would at least get a chance to catch up with each other.

"Faye," he said as he approached her with a friendly smile across his lips. "Its great to see you again!"

[Miach]

His fellow Enchanters were coming in one by one, each with the same light in the eyes. They all knew that tonight would probably not be pleasant. Or was it his mind playing tricks to him ? Regardless, business time had not fallen upon them yet, and Miach tried his best to play the gracious host.

"Faye, nice seeing you again."

"Apollo, sure, whenever you wish."

"Emrys, Crowley, heya."

"Pepper, that's fine, I get it...."

"Fluke, welcome."

It all sounded so hollow.

[Aurora]

Her eyes look to a new face as he enters and talks to Miach.

“Hi.” She returns with a smile. “I’m Faye.” She introduces.

“Emrys! Hi.” Greets the Enchantress. When he mentions the name Apollo, Faye looks to the unknown face, was that his name? Must be, he is the only one so far she didn’t know.

Next came Crowley who got a wide smile, “Hey Crowley!” it was good to see him, she wondered what he had been up to.

And then in comes Pepper, and she receives a wide smile as well, it was good to see her.

“Hi Pepper!” she says, quietly wondering what would be causing her stress? Maybe she would find out in the meeting, if not, then it was another excuse to get together with her.

The smile then turns to the scruffy good looks of Fluke,

“Hey Fluke! Good to see you too!” she replies. They still had to go exploring the city.

As Miach addressed everyone, her blue eyes look for Nous. Not finding her, she wonders if her fellow Enchantress was running late. Which wasn’t uncommon for their Path.

“So, how is everyone?” she asks, upbeat, blue eyes sparkling, unaware of anything going on. She was just happy to be among people she thought of as friends.

Apollo nodded to Miach. Did the doctor always sound like that? Apollo figured it was probably just a really long day for the other Enchanter, and didn't press. Instead, he turned to Emrys "Yup, that's me." He smiles slightly. Another turn to Crowley "Hey man, been better, been worse. Yourself?"

The Arrow took a quick survey of the room, trying to match faces to the names he was hearing. At least he was getting acquainted with folks before things got official immediately.
