The Lord's eyes narrowed - not in threat, but in thought.
"So. You are a more of a Seer of sorts? Do you have some sort of instructive role? Or a guiding role, perhaps?" She was beginning to wonder how close this Skald was aligned to her own duties as Seer. That she kept hidden. Instead, she studied the Acolyte with renewed interest.

Edwin paused as he thought of the best way to answer, crossing his arms to make himself more comfortable.
"I suppose you could say...reminding," the Skald finally answered with a magnetic grin, shifting in his seat slightly, turning his body so as to face his Whip. "Through poetry and storytelling, I remind my fellow Acolytes of their place within the Circle. Sometimes, I have to be honest in my approach, which can sometimes be seen to ruffle feathers."

"Oh. How very intriguing. You must be quite steeped in your lore, then?" Hildegarde enthused. "To be able to place your ancient tales in context and apply them to the situations your fellows find themselves in?"

"Steeped is high praise indeed," Edwin chuckled with a rotation of the hand, as if emphasizing something. "I'd say...petty dabbler," he added with a wry grin. "Ya could say I know enough to get the point across."

"Ah." Hildegarde smiled coyly and lapsed into silence.

The moments tick away. Edwin as starting to get freaked out. She just...sat there. Was she eyeing up his jugular? That could be awkward.
"Right, so," the Lord said, standing. "I'm gonna shoot. Ya know how it is, night is young, people to feed from, things to avoid. Thanks for the chat, Whip Bingen."
