(1410) Edwin, Juan, Konrad, Richard & Vivian

[Konrad Roth]

Glad for Vivian & Juan's positive reactions, Konrad feels spurred on in the conversation. "Heh, well, I mean, if you want to hear a bit I don't mind. See, it's no secret, in Vegas my sire's Coterie had an arrangement with the proprietors of the Stardust Hotel & Casino. Back then pretty much all the casinos were owned by one mob or another. They all understood the deal, skimming funds to finance mob activities. We acted as enforcers for the Chicago Outfit. 'Lefty' Rosenthal ran things back then and him and 'The Stain' got along pretty well. Kept the law off our back and gave us plenty of bodies to make disappear. That's the short of it anyhow."

Seeing how he originally just came along to listen and absorb, Konrad realizes he's doing quite a bit of talking. Unless he's pressed on giving out more info, Konrad shifts the attention to another Kindred. "But I know Edwin here has got some interesting stories to share. Speaking of word combinations, he's got an interesting one for the studio he's got in the works."

Edwin shrugged, modestly. A sparkle of pride was present in his hazel eyes. A wry smile accompanied it. "I'm not one to blow my own trumpet but, yeah, whomever you've been speaking was pretty accurate," the Lord laughed before taking a second or two. "Tattoos, any artwork for that matter, is about telling a story, the description of a meaningful event that one can relate to. For me, I like to think that an experience can be captured in one design and a moment of brief agony that can last a lifetime." A grin. "Or two, if it's a really good story."

When Konrad mentioned his studio, the Lord pulled out a card in black with the emblazoned Drawing Blood across it, along with Edwin's cell number. He held it out for Vivian to peruse.

Richard was impressed, he leans his body to the side slightly to snag a peak at the card that Edwin held out, "Very well said. I shall have pay a visits to your studio at some point, though I have never even considered getting a tattoo for myself, I am always interested in experiencing another artists work in person. I sometimes say that perhaps the greatest gift my mistress ever gave me was an infinite amount of time to capture the world around me in stone." Richard's voice trailed off slightly at the end, exposing a hole in the confident facade that he put on in the presence of beast whom made his quiver. When ever he spoke of her there was no room for bravado. She was his nightmare, one that would haunt his lonely nights for all eternity.

As the night starts to wind down, Konrad glances at his wrist absently. Things were going pretty well with meeting the other Kindred. There is even a growing sense of normality as they practice their Kine impressions and ignore the Beasts in the room. But all good things must lay down in the dirt, so to speak.

Smirking pleasantly, Konrad says to the group, "Well, I think I aught to head out, folks. Again, good to meet you, York. Hope we didn't scare your friend off. Cordoba, Richie, Edwin, later nights." He lingers a moment to allow their replies.

Waving an idle farewell, Konrad separates himself from the group heading towards the Stairs, unless anyone has pressing business with him.

When Vivian took the card, Edwin plucked another from his pocket, holding out for Richard. "Here, man. Got enough to share," he added with a chuckled.

"It's a little risky, I know but I couldn't resist," Edwin grinned at mention of his future studio's name. "But you're definitely right," he nodded. Their was a twinkle in those hazel eyes. "Sometimes, the stereotype even fits."

"Laters, man," Edwin said as a farewell to Konrad as he headed off. Looking around, it seemed that the Prince had already vanished, along with a few others. Time didn't stand still in court, it would seem.

"If anyone is interested in exploring some tattoos, feel free to give me a call. I'm mobile at the moment, so it's not a problem."
