Leo crouches down, but at 6'1" he was too tall to use the grass like Ermon or Ari. Speaking off, was Ermon crawling? The First Talon wondered if the Apostate realized the displaced grass his flattened form was making was just as conspicuous as his brown hair at night, but there were other things to consider.
'Head for the vine covered corner, and don't ever break ranks like that again.' Leo was in motion finally, holding the more pointed thoughts to himself.
3 suxx stealth
Orders received, Asp hauled ass, heading for the vine-covered corner with Leo and Animus.
Hearing keys in on the strangest things when confronted with Mortality. The oppressive silence. The creaking of a door. The shattering of a window by a rock thrown by an angry young woman. The shifting of feet across grass.
From their vine-covered corner, the group of Arrows can see the door open and figures emerge. Ripper, a man with dark, hollow eyes and a scraggly beard is revealed first. His gaze snaps towards the sounds made by Animus and Asp, dragging his attention towards the Arrow's position. If it makes them, Ripper doesn't show it. He instead slouches, fingering knives that glint in the moonlight waiting for another to glide out of the House.
She is known by many names. Once, she was known by Ninmah a believer in the birthright of man as the apex predator of nature. But, things happen. The World of Darkness happens and she shed the name like a person rips off their own skin. She is Obsidian. Her Nimbus, an angry blight; an oozing and defiling like an oil spill. She can't control her Nimbus and Obsidian does not want to. A black knife sits in wait in her hand.
Magic screams from them both.
Pollution's mark wraps around the pair as does their shields.
The group of knaves are expected.
In the span seconds, Obsidian breathes out and the world around the House is swaddled in an Anomaly, sapping everyone's energy, making limbs fall heavier and the world around them more and more oppressive.
Ripper takes up a defensive position.
Obsidian has unleashed a THYRSUS PARADOX ANOMALY 60 yards around the House. EVERY roll has a -3 Penalty – even to Walk – as Energy is sapped from; Speed is Halved.

The Thyrsus springs into motion, eyes locking with the first one out the door. A primal thrill pounds through the psychic link as the hunt begins, followed closely by a thread of pure rage as the Anomaly takes effect. Nonetheless, as he bounds forward, it is the initial target that claims his focus.
A rush, fighting against the lethargy with all his might. A claw flashes out, raking across Ripper's exposed flesh to the accompaniment of a snarl of challenge.
Def 0 due to charge action, armor 5 (+1 v bashing). Obsidian is up Casitive
Obsidian hisses as Animus breezes by her, “The Mate Comes.” Her voice sounds like flesh being dragged through glass. Her voice that speaks Lying Words has fallen into disuse. Animus might see the mad predatory gleam in her eyes, the joy and ecstasy that sings through her body as she looks out into the grasses and spots one of the 'Mate's' friends.
Paradox, the very nature of it and the Abyss itself is her weapon now.
Obsidian long past shed any notions of humanity. She is part and parcel of the Abyss now. It's agent and it's lover. With a shudder, she realizes an Imago but so corrupted as to be unrecognizable by the magi present. Abyssal, antinomian power ripping and tearing into Ermon's very life-force itself.
The Thyrsus' command and dripping darkness flares in her nimbus, visions of corrupted life within the black ooze of her Nimbus. It costs her nothing for she is Nameless and her worshiper has attracted the Mate's attention.
Ermon take 3 AGG from Life Force Assault.

The pain is horrible, overbearing, powerful. It makes Ermon spill a brief raw cry of anguish into the link. Still, he clutches his teeth and stays down. Not much he can do now except clutch his teeth and attempt not to distract the others who actually can do something.
Distraction? Succeeded.

Leo's eyes watch the field as the battle begins. options begin to race through his head, but in the heat of battle there was no time for extended periods of contemplation.
'Asp, Avis, protect the others!' The First Talon thought as he reached for his Rapier first. That anomaly was a bitch though. He felt like he had just finished one of his twenty four hour on call shifts at the hospital twice after a major calamity. It was not a scenario he had thought relevant.
Still, in as swift a motion as he could muster he drew his weapon and thrust forward to the man Animus had started to ravage.
Ariadne is up!

The best part about telepathy?
The fact that you didn't have to think words. Words were slow. Concepts were so much faster. As she waited a moment, just a moment, to act, a thought flashed to the group. It was Asp's very imagination, pushing a flash of a tactical solution through the network. The image was of Avis piling into the melee with all her might against Ripper to bring him down amidst the sheer number of blows going at him, and Asp doing something in just a moment to Obsidian to make her vulnerable and distracted --
Deep within the concept sent was the importance of focusing fire on a single target, and confidence.
