Asp remained silent, staring at the ritual circle for as long as she could with a scrutinizing eye. The exhaustion she felt from having had her own Mana turn against her and rip into her wasn't enough to keep her from doing a reasonable job.
She scanned the ritual circle for any traces of anything - souls still alive, old resonance, whatever she could pick up. Were they too late?

Thoughts flicker over the mental link. An inverted Pentacle. The light of the Supernal transposed to the darkness of the Abyss.

The subconscious warning fades, drowned by overwhelming need. The form of the wolf is discarded, leaving the shaman naked and blood-spattered, his clothing having long since been shredded. Tears falling freely, he reaches out to grab the jar corresponding to the Primal Wilds and hug it to him, heedless of potential consequences.
Each jar is roughly made, as though they have been made out of mud, dead leaves, and brambles. Animus grabs one with a rune for the Primal Wild written in old, flaking blood. Heedless of the danger, Animus' action is too quick for Asp to get a real read on the quality of the resonance of circle to be of any help with a warning. Her intense stare lingers long after the first jar is removed.
The quality of the room Asp attains, eventually, is 'zealous.'
Other jars sit idly on their points: Acanthus, Mastigos, Moros, and Obrimos. Whatever ritual the Scelesti were trying to enact, has long faded if it was even begun at all. One thing is for certain, they were very close to beginning and who knows what foul creature would have heeded the call. In the dark, beneath a tiny basement window are implements of fashioning perverted weaponry, sacraments of dead animals, and bones; rust and rot in tiny bowls.

Shuddering, Ermon looks around the room one last time before pushing his thoughts on the matter through the link:
I don't want to spoil the moment but how about we go with that 'burning' plan? Anyone know anything about arson? After we get the souls out of here, of course.
Really, this has been one long fucking day. And he still has the injuries that will take forever to heal and are going to smart like a bitch once Animus' mojo fades. Perhaps pull the Shaman from his heartwarming moment a bit later. Still, Animus looks like he's actually at peace. It almost makes it worth it to walk a couple days with bruised internal organs or whatever. And then just mention it to him, all casual-like.
Ermon is already drifting dangerously close to all the bragging he will do after everything's over. Despite the fact that he's done near to nothing through the entire mission.

Asp frowned. Zealotry had existed here. The Supernal was quiet. They'd stopped the evils that the Scelesti had planned. Perhaps it had been by hours. Perhaps it had been by mere minutes. Who knew?
She looked to Leo and asked him a question as she moved around to the Obrimos' soul jar.
Did you know this Obrimos, Leo? It seems only right...
Only right that he be the one to bear the jar. She could take another.
Ermon's right. This place needs to be cleansed from the world. We should search to make sure there's no booby traps or information we could use, and see if there really is a baby here. Then we can get the fuck out of here and let these souls really rest.
She resumed her scrutiny of the area, using her Sight to try to push past the zealotry and see what lay beyond. What resonance lay deeper here?

No one's found a baby yet, and I don't think there's any part of the house left to search Avis replied, her thoughts relieved, yet confused.
What had the teddy bear been for, then? Was it a trophy from an old blasphemy? An old manifestation of evil wrought on the world? She didn't know, and while part of her was relieved that an innocent hadn't been lost, another part would have preferred having no loose ends.

Ariadne listens quietly to the other thoughts. She watches the world outside of the house. It had been quiet enough and given the feel of this place Ariadne doesn't expect anyone to come by. Though that won't stop her from watching and waiting.
I'm watching outside. It's in your hands down there. She pulses into the network before rubbing the side of her head. Late nights and stress.

'There's a child here somewhere, and it is the primary concern right now.' Leo thought as he approached the jars. 'Avis, Ermon, there has to be something we missed. If you guys could try and sense for minds and sweep the place that would probably help more then our mundane senses could.'
'I did not know the Obrimos personally, nor any of the others.' He thought as he crouches down and looks at the jars, finally picking up the jar marked for Stygia. 'What I do know is that Mike Tamwood was a founding member of my cabal, a Sentinel of the Sacramento Concilium, and a Talon of our Order. For that he was butchered and profaned by Scelesti.'
Leo's lip twitched for a second in disgust. He looks at the jar, searching for the spell that bound Tamwoods soul. Though all the fallen mages likely had ties to someone, Triquetra most obviously, knowing this fate befell an Archangel sickened the Banner Warden.

Ermon shakes his head at Leo's request before remembering to use the network:
I'm overloaded, man. Can't cast jack right now, better ask Ariadne if she hasn't done that yet. We've looked through the house and checked for everything. If there's a kid, where are the signs? Where is their stuff? The ritual was prepared, why isn't the kid in this room? I say, if we can't sense anyone here with magic, just get the souls out and torch the place.
He stays close to Ariadne, seeking the comfort of the senior Cabalmate's presence. Burning the house down won't do much to heal the damage done to the Ley Lines but at least it will let him sleep better. Just need to make sure they don't burn some innocent soul accidentally.
