(Archangels) Finding a New Home

[Jonokuchi]

For once, Jonokuchi was excited. For today would be the day the Archangels scoured the city for a new place to settle, to re-establish the admittedly tarnished image with some patience and calm. To set out and help the Consilium where it was needed.

Folsom was the place. With his Shield and Sight active in the Space Arcana, Jonokuchi was seated in the Starbucks coffee house, a smoothie half-drunk. He was eager, and it showed slightly. He was wearing a kimono in beige and black, and as he tapped his foot in waiting, the table rattled with each movement of his bulk.

[Leo Lockheart]

Leo made his way to Folsom. It was out of the city and isolated. Good and bad for defense, but Leo liked the seclusion. He had the Circle to be near town, and could find another apartment if he really needed one.

A shrug to himself and the First Talon made his way into Starbucks. There was a visible wince as the smell of coffee reached his nose. Leo sighed and made his way to Jonokuchi."Hey man." He said with a half smile. "You ready for this?"

Leo was so ready to have a Hallow again. focusing on healing magics and having no mana sucked like a vacuum in space.

[Weavebreaker]

It had been hot lately, about the same as back home in Georgia, but with half the humidity. That alone made a world of difference to Weavebreaker and about the only thing she could not take when it came to Sacramento weather, was how cold it dropped to at night. With potential of being out past dusk, she thought it best to bring a backpack with a hoodie. For now, though she showed up to Starbucks rocking a white tank top, jeans, and some sneaks.

It was not hard for her to miss Jonokuchi, and with him drawing her eye she also spotted Leo with ease. Giving them a quick wave, she headed over to place an order.

"What can I get for you today?" The raven-haired barista asked with a smile.

"Trenta ice coffee please..." Weavebreaker said quickly in return.

"That will be three-eighteen. Cream or sugar?"

Weavebreaker shoved her hand into her pocket and pulled out a five and a couple of ones, and handed over the five. "No thank you. Black...and can you go easy ice?"

"Sure thing!" The barista replied while handing back change. It did not take her long to make such a simple drink and in no time she slid it across the counter.

"Thank you!" Weavebreaker dropped the change in the tip jar and then scooped up her massive, lovely coffee beverage. She glanced over to Leo and Jonokuchi and gave a helpless shrug with a grin before she took a sip.

What would I do without coffee...?

With the first order of business taken care of, Weavebreaker headed over to join her companions. "Heya..."

"How are you all doing today?" Weavebreaker placed her bag down onto a empty chair and her drink onto the table.

The sound of a Yamaha V-max sputtering to a stop ouside the Starbucks signals the arrival of the Necromancer. Geist kicks out the kickstand and tugs off his biker helmet, carrying it under his arm while he circles around the bike before joining the other Mages. That sputter doesn't bode well for the Yamaha, not at all. Sorry, Yuma. I'll take a look at what's got you all coughy in the carburetors later. Promise.

The scent of coroporate coffee tickles the Moros' nose with the promise of mass-marketed caffienated joy. But the scent filters through an especially strong caul of death warding Geist today, making the soulless smell of TEAVANA® OPRAH CHAI TEA especially bland. Everything's dead when you've got hipster glasses written into your very Soul. The Moros passes the counter without a look back, a certain barista's number growing heavy in his pocket.

In spite of meeting in such a wretched hive, Geist remains chipper. This would be his first real assignment with his Cabal and he is ready to scour this little patch of Nowhere for a Hallow even if it takes him all night. With his customary midnight break of course. He plops into a seat with the other Archangels and sets his helmet under his seat. "Sup everyone! Still waiting on our fifth?"

[Jonokuchi]

"Yes," the sumo nodded, attempting to suppress the smile he felt bubbling inside. "It is a new day."

Jonokuchi watched as first Weavebreaker and then Geist arrived. He gave them both nods, a greeting of sorts.

"So it would seem," the Warlock replies to the Libertine amongst them. He then turned back to his smoothie.

[Teeramus]

It took Striker awhile to figure out how to get out to the meeting place. He was barely familiar with the layout of Sacremento let alone knowing the quickest way to get to the edges of town by public transport. He caught the gold line and though the ride took longer than he expected, he found a friendly labourer to chat to about Sacramento which passed the time. He picked up a few tips on where to look for work along the way.

Finally they pulled into Folsom and Striker hopped onto the platform and collared someone who looked local to ask for directions to the Starbucks. The shaman looked at his watch. He was already late. Finding the street he needed he set off on an easy jog.

His boots slowed him down and his leather jacket sure kept the heat in. He strode through the door of the global franchise breathing heavily and sweating. It wasn't hard to spot his cabal with Jonokuchi's frame sticking out like a flag. He waved and made his way over. As he dropped onto an empty seat he greeted the group,

"Hey. Fellas."

Still. Breathing. Heavily.

[Weavebreaker]

Weavebreaker gave a quick wave of her hand to Geist and Striker before taking a sip of her ice-coffee. "Heya."

"So I was thinking, off of what was said last time we met..." As she spoke she reached into her pocket to pull out her phone. With a press of the power button and a quick swipe of her thumb, she unlocked the screen. The internet browser was already up, with the wikipedia entry for Carpenter Hill open.

"This is the highest terrain..." She said as she placed her phone upon the table for all of them to view.

"If you click the link for the coordinates, it will pull up the map. Then just click it to satellite to get a aerial shot." Weavebreaker knew from experience, having played around with the information she presented to them shortly after they last met.

"It has promise. What do you all think?' Her eyes shifted between each of her cabalmates as she fell into silence to let them work over the information.

[Leo Lockheart]

Leo smiles and nods as people file in. When Weavebreaker presents her phone Leo looks on with interest. He nods along as she explains it, finally clicking for the aerial photo once it was complete.

"Looks like a good lead." The First Talon smiled as he looked to the owner of the phone. "Think we could use our subtle tricks to hone in on a more specific location?"

Prime, it was the best Arcanum to be well versed in for this occasion.
