The night was dark and deep.
On the outside the rain was pouring heavily over the silent castle like walls of the Reverence.
There was only the sound of countless drops of water crashing into the sidewalks, the asphalt and the walls; nothing else crossed the empty streets; the sheep were already herded inside.
And inside, several wolves lay in wait, wolves in sheep clothes, hiding and bidding their time to find an easy prey to feed upon.
Confined in such a small space with so many dark corners and thick walls, it provided an almost palpable sense of security and privacy.
But that was exactly what was intended.
The bright lit neon lights, dark gothic motifs and stained glass merged together in a dark reflection of glamour and aesthetics. Another trick to provide a fugue for the senses and a refuge for the mind.
From the speakers reverberated an appropriately themed tune. The grinding rhythm begun to increase, then lyrics spoke of a darkness that inhabited in the heart and that could cloud the night and make the sun disappear for centuries.
In unison the heads begun to move.

Velma had her hair dyed jet black for a change.
Eyeliner, a spiky bracelet, a provocative collegial short skirt and a black top made the rest of the attire.
The Succubus was surveying the kine, as one might do before choosing what dish one will have for dinner when there is the chance to cherry pick from a showcase.
