Kassidy hesitated and chewed his lip. "Aren't the Ladies out back? Joining them won't do anything. We need to get in, but if there's someone we can get information from... You go to the Window, see if you can get in that way? I'll stay here."
Kassidy hesitated and chewed his lip. "Aren't the Ladies out back? Joining them won't do anything. We need to get in, but if there's someone we can get information from... You go to the Window, see if you can get in that way? I'll stay here."
Daniella was getting restless, they hadn't really set up a way for her and Alice to know if they had gained entry. For all she knew, they got in and could be in trouble, but surely her senestive ears, or Alice's would have heard something amiss. She glances to the angelic Alice, speaking softly, "How long should we wait? I can pick the lock and gain us access to the back of the house." she offers, curious to what Alice would say.
Michael nods to Kassidy and starts walking around the house toward the place where he broke after his imprisonment. His hope is that none of the house's inhabitants bothered to replace the window.
The silence draws on, save for the few low voices of Kindred poking around the house. Kassidy and Michael happen upon the same scene that Alice and Daniella passed moments before: shards of glass scattered across the thin strip of grass that connects the property's pitiful front yard to its even more pitiful back. The bottom windowsill is about five feet above the ground, as the interior's floor is elevated somewhat from ground level by the building's foundation.
Razor-sharp slivers of glass are still attached to the window's frame like the teeth of a yawning beast. Inside, there are no lights on. The lighting outside is poor enough that one can't see in without a more direct beam. Even if they do shine a light on the interior from this angle, there is no one standing close enough to the window to be seen.
Kassidy shook his head and decided that, with the lack of sound, they might as well try to get in. He tested the door knob to see if it's locked. If it's open he enters the house.
Daniella, tired of waiting to find out what happened to the others, approaches the back door. Carefully, she will try the handle, if it is unlocked, she will enter the building. If it is locked, well, then she will just have to break in. Not something she is above doing, she did break into a bank once, through she did set of the alarms, she remembers with a shake of her head, but she did get the item they were after.
Almost in blind synchronization with each other, Kassidy and Daniella find a yielding and open lock. They swing both doors open to reveal a darkly silhouetted interior. By virtue of some ambient light outside, they clearly see the outlines of each other on the opposite ends of the building.
From Kassidy's perspective, there is a staircase front and left, with open exits to rooms at either side. There is a basement door under the stairs, and another open doorway looking into the room where Daniella is framed in the back door. It's too dark to make out any real detail other than decorations are sparse.
Daniella sees a large Kitchen and Dining room that dominates the rear of the building. A table is on her right, empty, and an island counter for food preparation in the center of the kitchen area on her left. The counters are mostly bare, save for a few useless odds and ends. The stove looks completely forgotten, but the Microwave, well-used. The opening on the left separates the kitchen from a den only with a bar counter. Two other open doorways lead off to a Living Room on her right, and the front Hall directly ahead. Thanks to her Mekhet vision, she can quite clearly see Kassidy scoping the scene on the other side of the house.
Although nothing of importance is immediately visible to them. And luckily, neither door snapped tripwire to a firebomb.
Yet.
Still seeing no signs of inhabitants, Michael continues to circle the house. If no one disturbs him, he's going to join Daniella.
Kassidy stared at Daniella at the back door and shrugs. "This is almost embarrassing..." He sighed, then glanced at the floor then back to Keeper Sage. "Are you seeing anything to watch out for?" He pulled out his phone and pressed a button to get the screen glowing, providing a bit more light for them to see by.
He carefully scans for any traps to avoid by the faint bluish light.

As she notices Kassidy in front of her, her ears pick up the movement of someone coming up behind her, and she turns to see Michael. That was a relief, they didnt need someone sneaking up behind them.
Her eyes scan the area; nothing out of the ordinary stands out to her, and looks up when Kassidy speaks, Nothing out of the ordinary from here. But we should still be careful. She sees the phone comes out and figures that was a better idea than turning on the lights, and pulls her iPhone from her pocket, bringing the screen to life, and takes a second look, more carefully this time. She not only scans the floor, but the ceiling above, you never knew how creative people could be.
