(The Abandoned) Anyone Home?

After the brief meeting at Avalon, a small group of Kindred is on their way to visit the house where Michael Redfill had been kept for quite a while. They arrive - so Alice hopes - a few blocks away. Multiple cars stopping directly in front of a possibly empty house could be bad, for purposes of not drawing any attention.

Unless the Ghouls are still there. How surprisingly fun would that be?

The Daeva carries a small metal case in one hand, her purse in the other. What's she carrying with her can easily be guessed, but it's still her secret. They were supposed to be prepared for everything, so she thinks she is.

Kassidy had ridden with Dr. Redfill, checking out the windows for where they were in the city and hoping they stayed in the less pleasant neighborhoods. Then again, Sacramento tended not to have 'black' or 'Chinese' or 'Mexican' neighborhoods in as delineated a manner as other cities, so it was harder to figure out which areas in Sacramento would keep watch for where cops and such were. Still, it wasn't exceptionally likely that things would go south in that manner, provided that none of the neighbors were likely to freak out about a small black man entering a house that may or may not have been empty for a few weeks.

"Damn. I hope we keep thing quiet enough that none of the neighbors decide to look outside." He slumped slightly in the seat before getting out of the car and nodding to Miss Brown and Daniella Sage. He flashed a grin in the night, white teeth and bottle blond hair standing out against his dark skin.

"It might be a good idea to have our door openers Drive up to park in front of the house or in the driveway, make things look more normal, ya know? People won't think twice about someone seeming to come home late from being out to dinner or something, but four people walking up will stick out a lot."

After having changed into reasonably cheap-ass clothing in a car with other people, which was quite a new sensation, Michael just drives keeping his eyes on the road. But when Kassidy voices his worries, the doctor answers with a smile:

"The last time I was here, I smashed a window with my full body weight, ran out of the house screaming bloody murder and then fought with a guy in the street. Nobody as much as glanced out of the window." - there is a small pause as he considers the possibilities.

"Our vehicles are uncharacteristic for this neighbourhood, I think it's better to stop some distance away from the house. I don't think we ourselves will attract attention as long as we don't blow up the building."

Which may be exactly what will happen.

So when Alice pulls over, Mike stops his Porsche right behind her.

"Okay, let's get the equipment." - the Gangrel pulls a bag of latex gloves out of the glove compartment, puts one pair on, hands it to anyone who cares while commenting:

"If you have a mortal life, put these on. Stuff gets left on your hands, so there might be prints despite you being dead. They are skin-color, so nobody whould notice, unless they get really close."

He puts a few spair pairs in his pocket and then walks out of the car and opens the trunk. Inside is his suit, now neatly folded, but more importantly, there is a case of considerable size.

The contents of the case

There is a set of lockpicks, a pair of nippers, a glass cutter, a lockpick gun and electronic equipment for dealing with alarms. Everything is quite high-quality.

Daniella followed Dr Redfill and Alice, glancing out the window every now and then to get a feel for the neighborhood.

She pulls in behind Dr Redfill and gets out of the car, walking up to join the others. While waiting for Dr Redfill to gather items from his trunk, she takes the time to look around the area, feeling slightly over dressed for what they were about to do.

Everyone receives a friendly nod when they step out of the car. But there is not much to say, so nothing is said. Alice looks around, for a moment.

Soon she's headed towards the house.

Kassidy bites his lip at Redfill's offer of gloves. He wanted them, sure. He had a mortal job... but there was know way gloves that were the Doctor's skintone would blend in with his own. "Err... could you hand me a pair at the door?" now wasn't the time to complain about manufacturers only making 'skintone' things for white people. It was time to contribute and work.

"I'm going to try and contact some people on the way there who might have heard something..." He slipped his phone out and quickly sent a mass text to a few people commonly seen on the Streets to find out if they'd seen anything or heard any rumors. Maybe if he lucked out, they'd have some idea where the Ghouls had relocated to.
