Grunting at the unexpected attack, Marcus feels the hairs sting even after they shrivel and fall out.
1 suxx *forgot -2 toxicity*
Leon gives a muttered swear as the hairs hit, looking to the others to see if people are ok.
Booze had probablly blinded the man, he had almost forgotten what it was like to be in real danger. He clenched his fists.

Heath is caught off guard by the rushing spider's speed and reels back as the projectile hairs hurtle at him like porcupine quills. Whether or not he had any intention of fighting he had already been dragged into this fight. A strange fatigue hits him, however, causing his mind to ache and reactions slow.
"Hey...hey, guys, I'm feeling a little weird," he says while his palm spread over his forehead.
Rolls
Mary's fear shifts to confusion, and then the monster spider chill pill hits her bloodstream. She knows, of course, that this is a bad sign, but can't seem to muster up any desire to resist the flow of events. Her stance relaxes a bit, and she turns to the assembled allies, and presumptive allies, and inquires, "Huh? What now?" Perhaps she could inspire someone to tell her what to do. That'd make this all easier.
Marcus' head swivels from his comrades to the fleeing spiders, then back to the alley. On one hand, dangerous creatures had just escaped from the Hedge and could be wreaking all sorts of havoc in the city. On the other, who knows what else might emerge if he doesn't do something to close the two rifts.
"Anyone have some Redbull, or 4 Hour Energy? That might help a bit with the poison."
The Hedge Warden warily moves toward the alley in order to see if he can identify the exact location of the gate leading over there.
With his supernatural gate-sense, Marcus is able to tell that the gate has most definately ripped open inside the alleyway where the spiders emerged. Giant spiders have stopped emerging from the alleyway and fleeing in different directions, however, many small spiders still scuttle along the ground, and have begun to spin webs on the edges of the alleyway.
OOC
Marcus looks sharply at his companions. Are they all dazed? He understands their shock and confusion, but can't believe that they are all so completely helpless. At least Mary Lee seems to have her wits about her, but then she works at The Forge, so she's probably always on her toes.
"Alright? Those things look like they might be a type of harvester spider from the Hedge. You need something to perk you up a bit to take the edge off of their poison. Some caffeine or buglewort should do the trick. I don't know about you lot, but I have to take care of this mess right here."
It appears to be lost on the Hedge Warden that perhaps not everyone walks around with buglewort in their pocket. Regardless, the metalflesh looks around to see if there's anyone that might see him besides the changelings. If the coast is clear, Marcus calls upon his agreement with Fire to armor him with its fury against whatever might be lurking in the alley as he steps toward the entrance.
Armor of Fire's Fury
"Harvester Spider? Well, if it's something as simple as a pick-me-up I guess I could just treat it like a hangover," responds Heath, sensing the Contract going off and figuring it was time to invoke his own.
Tapping into the agreement of his Season, Heath allows the rejuvenating lifeforce of Eternal Spring wash over him and renew his energy. After, should he felt the effects take hold of him, he turns to the other and offers, "I can help anyone else out if they're feeling the same way?"

Vassagon Due to the -2 toxicity penalty to your roll, which is subtracted from the right of your pool, you unfortunately got no successes and thus Heath failed to sling his contract.
