Mudras. Atlantean. It answered the only question he'd needed. And more. Because as far as he was concerned, preparations meant the rules discussion was over.
The Thyrsus draws on the Supernal, weaving spells about himself without pausing for thought. Seconds mattered. They would learn that, one way or the other.
To those with active Sight, a distant wolf's howl echoes through the Circle. Twice. It doesn't take long to notice that the Thyrsus has grown his very own set of wolf's claws.
In Aegis' case, that realization comes alongside a whoosh as those claws just miss the Moros' chest.

@AethrDav , roll perception to avoid being taken by surprise. The attack comes in the round following Weavebreaker's Scouring and Aegis' first, unsuccessful spellcasting.
"My father says that almost the whole world is asleep. Everybody you know, everybody you see, everybody you talk to.
He says that only a few people are awake,
and they live in a state of constant, total amazement."
"My father says that almost the whole world is asleep. Everybody you know, everybody you see, everybody you talk to.
He says that only a few people are awake,
and they live in a state of constant, total amazement."
Weavebreaker's attack barely registers, trained instinct easily guiding the Thyrsus out of harm's way. But at least it was an attack. Eyes flick to the other Arrow, still preoccupied in his spellwork. Claws lash out again, this time opening a deep gash in Aegis' chest. Pain usually was a quick teacher.

The final syllables of Aegis' casting come out with a pained growl, but he pushes through the excruciating pain, pulling the shielding around himself.
He tries to keep from buckling over under the pain, spinning with the blow away from Animus. He takes a defensive stance, eyes open, watching the wolf-clawed mage warily. As he moves he whips the baton in his hand outward, extending it to its full length.
Weavebreaker is taken back by the ferocity of Animus. She would not have expected him so capable, and she could not help but wince as he tore into Aegis. Part of her wanted to go on the defensive, not wanting to suffer the same sort of injury, but she knew that the best defense was a good offense.
Weavebreaker pushed forward off her strong leg as she gave everything she had behind the knife swing.

Weavebreaker rolls 6 to Str+Weap+AoA+WP+Knife-DEF (10 Again, WillPower)
Animus takes no damage as the blade barely nicks him. (armor)

He says that only a few people are awake,

The pinprick draws the Thyrsus' attention where the first strike had been largely ignored. Once was bravery; twice meant a failure to adapt.
Perhaps it was time to force the issue.
Eyes flick to Weavebreaker, holding her own for a second in silent challenge. Still holding her gaze, he lunges, claws coming down to rip into her knife-arm with brutal force. The attack exposed his own flank, but it was worth a little pain if he could force her into a new strategy.
Aegis, deciding that if they had a chance...if he had any chance, of not being shredded to ribbons, Animus needed to be restrained, and the two of then would need to work in concert. So the Talon stepped in, using the baton he wrapped it around Animus' neck, and his other hand came around to restrain the arm he'd just swung at Weavebreaker.
The question came out with a bit more desperate of a tone than he'd intended, but none the less, the needed to try and figure something out they could barely scratch him and something had to be done about it.

Sorry for the delay...was writing and revising to make sure I didn't meta-game anything.
