Stripes follows inside as Smudge explains what they saw. His claws twitch a bit as rubs his arm, thinking over everything they observed.
"There was a girl there too," he says, not knowing or caring how important that might be. "She was with the guy bringing the guns."
Danny tried not to sink immediately into the sensation that he was being flash-frozen on the spot, and went progressively brighter green as his mouth dried out and he tried to find the words to say what he wanted to say. His long fingers shook as he headed into the antiques store.
The Smith had plenty of things he'd observed and could comment on, it was just that being in Katrin's presence instantly reduced him to sludge.
"...Gnh..."
He couldn't make his tongue work. Danny wished the ground would just swallow him.
"...Th-they seem to b-be supplied by s-someone c-called, the um, 'Jap', um..."
The bald Wizened cringed at himself.

Marcus nods to the Winter Queen as he enters her shop.
"Alright, Katrin? Sorry to disturb you at such an hour, but we thought you needed to hear what we found out. An Asian businessman going by the name Mr. Takeshi brought a couple of thugs... and oddly enough, a little girl... to meet with this Guillermo bloke from the gang we had under surveillance. He filled the boot of their car with as many semi-automatics as he could, on the condition that they use them against the 38s in the next few days. Also... Guillermo bragged about putting Rust Mane in the hospital. I hope you understand that I will need to report all of this to Spartan as soon as possible."

Katrin listened to their words as she gestures for them to follow her towards the back of the shop. After all, she didn't want anyone that happened to walk past the store to notice the group through the window. She nodded at each piece of information that was revealed, eventually pausing to consider the words of the Hunter of the Longest Day. After a few seconds, the Winter Queen gave Marcus a nod.
"I understand that you must inform him, yes?" she said to the Elemental in regards to his plans to inform Spartan. "Things do sound like they have escalated, but at least we know who is supplying them with weapons." Katrin paused for a moment, considering something.
"What more can you tell me about this Mr. Takeshi?" she asked the group in general, even though her flawless eyes were still locked to Marcus' eyes/

Smudge shrugged as a puff of smog blew from his nostrils. "Not alot, really. Marcus kinda heard most of it, and wha' he has told ya is all we know. Whoever they were, they're Trouble with a capital Tee and supplying 'eavy duty hardware to some very questionable characters."
He didn't like sounding like an idiot, but sometimes, it just worked.
"H-he seemed to h-have two a-associates," Danny stuttered out. "One, one, one was a child... a, a l-little girl..." That was all he could get out before the bright, sickly green flush on his cheeks took over, and he looked away, ashamed of even being in Katrin's presence.
His hooked fangs chewed at the inside of his mouth.

Marcus breaks eye contact with Katrin just long enough to text a short message to his king. When he looks up once more to meet her gaze,the Winter Queen might even catch a glimpse of the cold perfection of her own gaze reflected in his silver eyes.
"He has money and likes to make sure people know it. He arrived in a limo. He's a snappy dresser. He's used to telling people what to do and expects them to do it. He doesn't particularly seem to like Guillermo.
What I can't figure out is what his interest is in eliminating the 38s... personal vendetta or a power play?"

The Winter Queen listened as each of the Lost in her store spoke up on the subject, nodding at each little piece of information. "This is all very intriguing information, no?" she said as she evaluated what she had been told. "So this Mr. Takeshi brought a child with him to a business meeting with a bunch of ruthless criminals. That does not strike any of you as odd?" Katrin paused for a moment, looking at each of them respectively.
"Did any of you attempt to verify if this Mr. Takeshi or his associates are fae?" asked the Fairest, wondering if her original suspicions were accurate or not. "It seems unlikely that the Yakuza would get involved in the affairs of petty gangs such as the Dunnies or 38s, yes?" She paused once more, making a slight gesture with one of her hands. "Perhaps it is a power play of some sort, or perhaps it is something else entirely, no?"
After another pause, Katrin spoke once more. "Perhaps the next step is to reach out to the 38s, learn more about what they are doing and why this Mr. Takeshi may be after them," she said to the group of gather Lost in her shop, her tone remaining its usual, neutral self. "We know that both of these gangs have been at odds for some time, so that's not a surprise. But finding out why the Yakuza are getting involved in the whole matter may give us some more answers, yes?"
Danny felt about six inches tall and very, very stupid, even if he had actually suggested that very thing. His hooked teeth chewed restlessly at the inside of his mouth, and he couldn't meet Katrin's gaze, his black eyes locking on his knees.
She must think I'm a complete idiot...
His long fingers knotted themselves together, and he tried to swallow down the crushing, painful lump of disappointment that was clawing up his throat.
"I um... I'm pretty, pretty sure that she wasn't a normal, um, girl, but we were... watching from a distance... couldn't really interrupt the meeting to, to get information um..."
That just sounded like he was making excuses. The Smith lapsed into silence, feeling like a total failure.
