A Hunting We Will Go (Gangrel)

Tracy listened to Dillon's explanation, nodding along as he spoke. Clearly his theory about why they had failed was sound, and their results...or lack thereof, proved it right. "You do raise some very good points," said the petite redhead in response to her Priscus' words. "At least we know better now, so next time we won't make the same mistakes." She smiled at all of them, most of her frustration having slowly faded away by this point. After all, one learned quite a bit from failure...as long as failure didn't get you killed, which it had not in this case.

"Using you as bait may be another tactic we can try next time," she said to Emma with a nod, entertaining the image in her mind for a moment. Tracy then turned back to Dillon and gave him a nod. "I guess you can say it was good exercise," she said to him, letting out a soft chuckle. When he then mentioned tricking some animals into being a late night snack, a little smirk formed on the corner of the feisty Savage's lips.

"I can talk to animals," she said in response to Dillon. "Now, whether they can understand what I'm saying, is an entirely different deal..." she let her words trail off, giving him a quick playful wink as her little smirk widened. "But not to worry, while I may be a bit thirsty, a possible frenzy shouldn't really be an issue," she added, her expression more serious as she said this.

Dillon gives an animated tilt of his head, and a thin-lipped twist of his mouth, to acknowledge the thought of baiting their future prey. His instinct is that he doesn't care much for the idea, but is quick to internally consent that pride may be talking. And where has stubborn pride gotten them tonight?

"Yeah, maybe." Though the tone of his voice clearly emotes that he'd much rather run down a foe and drag them, fighting, to the ground... there is no real disapproval. His smile never truly fades; it settles into an amiable smirk. As long as his cousins are willing to improve their teamwork, and get to know each other better in some way, he will support them.

"Well, anyway, let's see what we can do about grabbing a snack."

Animal blood is about as good as water to Dillon Connery. His blood is far too thick. But he is more than happy to give the others a helping hand. A Priscus serves his family.

Tackling that might be fun in itself, but we should probably wrap this thread up soon - in favor of doing something together again in a new one

I'm cool wrapping this up and assuming we can get enough squirrel juice boxes for those of us of thinner blood to enjoy!

Emma was not in any need for nurishment but waited for her family to enjoy dinner. She found it very entertaining watching them chase down squirrels and other woodland creatures. Sort of like watching adults hase a two year old. It felt really great just being in the woods away from court, away from titles, away from the city. Emma silently sighed in contentment.

Those Gangrel still gathered are quick in rounding up a handful of tasty critters with which to satisfy the thirsty. Dillon probably stresses to them the importance of not doing this more than necessary, not really out of a sense of wildlife conservation as much as one of Masquerade preservation. If it were rats in the city, it would be different.

After the hike back to Emma's jeep and Roxie's truck, anyone that stuck around for that will be hard-pressed to get home in time. In other words, anyone who can't fly will have to stop and take a dirt nap today!
