The Seven Stars Hotel
Roxie Hart and Dog sit in the open area of the motel on cheep plastic furniture. Roxie flicks open and closed her lighter and Dog just sits there looking fucking bored and nonplussed.
As this is the final sceen of the [Down in a Hole] story-line, I have stickied this thread. So if another plot starts, feel free to jump into it.

Leading the train in to the Seven Stars was the rumbling purr of James Calloway's motorcycle. Boots hit pavement as he pulled in in front of the building, putting down his kickstand and waiting for Adam and Swift. The Taifa flexed his fingers in his riding gloves as he stood by for his unit. They certainly had an interesting story to tell her... and no doubt she would be amused by Jose's fate.
Hopefully bothered, too.
Someone who drives a car can bring the body of the Comic Shop guy. :P
Adam pulled up to the front of The Seven Star motel, the body of Comic Shop guy lying "comfortably" in the back of his trunk. It was a new evening, and new clothes - sans sewer stench. Nobody else might care, but the Daeva preferred not to visit the Regent wearing Eau de Crap, courtesy of the Sacramento underground.
It was just unseemly.
He parked behind Jim's motorcycle, and stepped out of the car.
"Another night, another meeting," he remarked casually to the other man.

James' Beast surged as Adam exited the vehicle, demanding that he swat this gnat aside with a swipe of jagged claws and paint his car red with his blood. But it wasn't quite as... demanding as it usually was. It seemed that the Beast Within was beginning to become accustomed to that of Adam York. It settled into a curled ball in the recesses of Jim's mind, sneering, but tamed.
"Indeed. But, with any luck, our results will be... well taken." He grinned at the Daeva as they waited on Swift .

The good doctor strolls up to the other two Kindred waiting on him. Showered and fed, his mood has improved significantly, but the thought of reporting to Roxie and the fate of Jose have soured it from being entirely pleasant. His coat is freshly laundered and flows behind him dramatically as he walks, cane in hand; his fedora completing the silhouette.
"Gentlemen," he says by way of greeting with a nod to each of the other two in turn. "Shall we then?"

His Beast growled and stirred at Swift, but he realized that the doctor's Beast was rapidly becoming quite familiar. It was a lazy roar, as opposed to its usual fire-and-brimstone-and-stomping routine. How pleasant. Nodding to Swift, Jim says, "Let's."
With that, Jim will lead the way over Roxie Hart .

"Bout fucking time." Roxie stands, "So, what do you got for me. And it better be something..." Roxie's arms are crossed in front of her, creating somewhat of a shelf for her breasts, but if you can look up from that, her face shows that she is really ... REALLY... not pleased right now.
Adam remained polite, even as his Beast growled quite feebly in the presence of the more powerful Kindred. He bowed his head in a simple- but more importantly quick greeting. Roxie's manner seemed to suggest one who was not in the mood to wait for courtesies.
Come to think of it, that seemed to be the case most often.
Oh well. He could appreciate a woman who knew how to tell people to 'shut the fuck up and get on with it'.
"We have with us a man who is involved in what occurred... Culler was kind enough to apprehend him for us; he said the rebuilding of your herd will be taken care of."

Swift nods. "The investigation led into the necropolis where we met with Lord Culler. He delivered this man to us in this state. We had been tracking him at the time." Swift pauses, trying to think how to cover everything concisely. "We also uncovered evidence that Lord Culler is actively building a herd of his own, through raw capture. The unspoken implication was that this one was responsible for the kidnappings, but outside of or without Lord Cullers' blessing." He leaves the skepticism unspoken.

"Indeed. We learned that we also weren't the only investigation that led there. We ran into a group led by Dillon Connery... and both of our trails seemed to lead down there. He was tracking a person who turned out to be a female archer who worked for Culler. It's a lot, all happening down there at once." James was concerned, but would let Roxie draw her own conclusions. The leggy Regent wasn't dumb. She could do the math.
Quieting down since they were outside and he didn't wish to violate the First, Jim said, "As an aside, Mr. Matias is greviously wounded, in the custody of Lord Culler's... man, Sunshine." James' face looked pained, thinking even for a second about what that monster would do to the poor neonate. "He jumped off a ladder into a pit that he couldn't see the bottom. It was... not his finest hour."
He shrugged. Shit happened when you jumped off ladders into the darkness.
