Aenigma walks into the store behind, following the Acanthus inside. He smiles at the woman behind the counter and says, "thank you." He walks around for a bit, looking at a few different things as he made his way over to the books section.
The Warlock starts looking around the shelves, looking for anything unusual.
I didn't know which one was needed...

Miach smiled at the woman, and started strolling lazily in the store. After a quick tour, he stopped his walk in front of the incenses, herbs, and other poultices. He checked them rather carefully, wondering if they could somehow be incorporated into his remedies. He would have to check, someday. Once satisfied with his examination, he resumed his tour, and joined Aenigma in front of the books. The Acanthus then tried once again as in the "Ancient Ways" to look for books beyond the books, or similar oddities.
Neither mages finds any books that look like they might be part of the series. Aenigma does notice that it looks like the books have been gone through recently, with there being empty spots where books had once sat.

Hmmm. Some books are missing from the shelf...hopefully we didn't get here too late.
Aenigma turns to Miach and shakes his head, but doesn't say anything. He picks up a couple of random books, planning to keep up the facade just like he had done in the previous store. He then heads over to the front of the store and places the books on the counter, waiting to be rung up.
The woman smiled at Aenigma as his turn to check out. "Did you find everything alright?" she asked politely, taking the books the mage had in his hands and ringing them up.

Miach was disappointed they hadn't found the remaining book, but thanks to Aenigma's quick thinking, they had already been pretty sure they wouldn't find anything before entering this shop. They had another chance left, it would be the good one.
He followed he Warlock to the counter, looking idly left and right as a passer-by might. He tried to look bored, or at least tired, and kept silent.

Aenigma gives the woman a quick nod. "Yes ma'am," he says to her with a friendly smile. "I'm looking to purchase these." The Warlock gestures to the books on the counter, hoping to keep things quick and easy. After all, they don't really have much time to wase if they want to track down the last one.
Hmm, we could head straight to the last store, or stop by the museum on the way...
"Excellent." She gave him a bright smile before placing the books in a bag. "That will be 15 dollars."

Aenigma smiles back at her and then fishes his wallet out of his coat. He pulls out a twenty dollar bill and extends his hand towards the woman. "Here you go," he says to her as he hands her the money. "And thank you for your help!"
