Narration:

After leaving A Slice of Life, Jack and Ronnie walk down the street and around the corner to the next street over, then across that street and down another block. "Mine's the gold Lexus," she says, pointing.

O-Yama follows them, though at a distance. The two men from the restaurant don't appear to follow, nor does the car he saw parked down the street from A Slice of Life - the one with the two men who might have been watching the restaurant - go anywhere.

Narration:

At this time of the evening, the parking lot is only about 1/4 full, though that still leaves a lot of vehicles in the lot.

Ronnie uses her remote key to unlock her car as she and Jack approach. She is at the car, and Jack is starting to go around to the passenger side, when suddenly all the lights in the lot, the street and the nearby buildings flicker and go out. There is enough ambient light from cars going by and cast by the moon that it isn't 100% dark, but it's close to it.

At the same moment, Jack notices two shapes step around from behind other vehicles and approach. One is approaching from behind Ronnie's car, and is closer to her, the other steps from around one of the other vehicles parked on the passenger side of her car and is closer to Jack. He can tell they are carrying handguns of some sort.

O-Yama is approaching the lot when suddenly the lights flicker and go out. He can tell that at very least, all the lights on this and the immediately-surrounding blocks are out. He can detect a flurry of movement in the same area Jack and the woman were headed, but he is too far away to make out any other details.

((ST Note: Jack and O-Yama both need to roll Initiative. If anyone has and wishes to activate Celerity, declare so along with your roll, add the appropriate bonus for Celerity dots and subtract the Vitae for Celerity.))

Fuck! And here I am starving like hell. Jack thought. He had no idea what to do but push blood through his body, allowing his Vigor come to force. He then moves close to the man nearest him, in hopes being on him will keep the man from getting a good shot.

Narration:

Jack hears the sound of a suppressed shot, and Ronnie yells out "Fuck! Jack, they've got guns!"

Jack's attacker tries to get in a shot, but misses. He hears a *ftttt* sound, as from an air gun, and hears the small cracking sound of a small glass object shattering.
