Something snaps Ricardo out of his stupor. He notices drag marks leading toward the back corner of the complex. Since he is right next to David, it is easy to get his attention. Ricardo points to the drag marks and waits for David to give orders.

David notices his hungry translator pointing out something on the floor, and waves over the others. David begins following the drag marks, paying attention to his surroundings.
Heightened senses
The marks do indeed lead to the back corner of the underground facility. Thanks to David's Heightened Senses he can see a door that is hidden in the back corner.

"Door. Check it" David whispers to Lance, and goes to the door, trying to listen to what might be on the other side.

Lance gets down on one knee and goes over the area with a metaphorical fine toothed comb.1wp, 4 successes
John stops taking pictures when the drag marks were found. When Silver pointed out the door, John could not help but feel dread, how much death and horror would they have to see tonight?
As Lance gets close to the door he does not find anything, he does however, feel something, a stirring in his beast. There is a beast out there, it is week, as if very far away, but its there off in the distance. And rather then trying to attack Lance's beast, it is ... crying or whining?
When Ricardo joins Lance at the door, he gets the same feeling. He moves back to David. He whispers "Sir, Beast afraid." He points at the door. "Maybe sooth." He points to himself to indicate that he might be able to do it, and holds his hand level to say 50/50 chance. He then waits for David's orders.

David takes one look at Ricardo's bloodstained lips, chin, shirt and pants, and tries to equate that with Sooth. He shakes his head at the Ventrue.
"Mclean, sooth the guy on the other side." he whispers.
David indicates for Lance to open the door.

Lance pops his knuckles and opens the door carefully. Perhaps he's being overly cynical, but he's expecting Mclean to chickenshit out again.
