The screaming and shouting, the cacophony of anger and fear, the violent shaking of her insides reminded her that she was not some courtier in her father's kingdom. She was a damned soul, with her own personal demon trying to embarass and shame her clawing at the tatters of her soul.
It was nearly enough to kill her pleasant mood for the evening.
But she had not suffered through decades of courts, decades of struggles and failure and false hope, to be deterred.
