"That's because I'm not begging, ma'am," the female poacher said matter of factly. "I know my role in all this, and what it cost. I also know what would have happened if your marksman there had have kept his cool. So, I'm offering a Life Boon to you, and your people here can tell you - I'm a surgeon with pistols." She nodded to the fallen Knight, as if to prove her point. "Which means I become your surgeon until such a time as I've done an appropriately large service to make that boon go away. I took and shed blood from your Domain, thus a Blood Boon - and I am upgrading it to a Life Boon because of the risk to your officers and to the First, and to pay for legitimate forgiveness and a conclusion to this matter."
It was just business. It was just a matter of price.
As the Prince adjusted Krieg and ordered him into the room with his frenzying compatriot, the poacher fell silent. Only when spoken to did she speak again.
"I'm from outside Portland, ma'am. I've never had a Prince or a Sire who gave a damn. I'm not like you and yours. We were on the run from some low-Humanity Crone guys who had lost their fucking minds and wanted to eat my partner. To be frank, the only reason I stopped in Sacramento was to get a bite and to hide for one night before heading to LA. I figured we'd be safe here."
She sighed.
"Derek was starving. He'd had to fight to save me the night before. So he lost himself on the woman in that alleyway. Shit went sideways."
A shrug. Stuff happened, right?
"Ma'am, I'm not a courtly Kindred, so I'm not going to sit here and fuck you around. My life boon is on the table. If you want it, let me know and I'll shake your hand right now and be at your service. If you want to execute me, best get to it. Your time has value."
She will submit to a Killing Blow if execution is selected. No roll will be required.
