He called down the fire of his Tower, weaving a white-hot glyph as he blurred and dropped it on the Raggedy-Ann reject that was grabbing him the way only one Intervallutrix was allowed. Like the Radio, a complex pattern of arcane strands had been woven over the doll, yet that weave was far less grand, and far more...compressed. Facing the supernova of Star's glyph, that pattern was drowned out, scrambled, flooded with static that it simply couldn't filter out. And, without that pattern flowing unimpeded, the Doll's grip faltered and it fell to the ground, the sound of shattering porcelain filling the air...
Curses, I have been out maneuvered! Combat is over!

| So. That was anticlimactic. But yeah. Star's sort of a badass. And explains why he didn't hightail it out of the room when the doll was trying to get out of the terrarium.
"Dude!" calls Tuesday since the horror movie doll was a shattered pile of horror movie doll. "I got the Radio, but since you're still, you know, down there. Grab the thingy. The meteorite thingy." Hey, when would they have another opportunity to paw through this stuff?

So. Tempting.
Really, it was. Right there. Tempting his long fingers that were prone to questioning ownership by re-aligning possession. An honest-to-Aether meteorite.
...but one that deaded a camp full of people. Maybe when he was running solo. Bringing that home where his girls slept? Not so much. Now, if Emrys had still been around...
"Focus, grasshopper," he whispered back up to the little head with cowl and goggles peering down through the hole. "Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered."
With that bit of wisdom that totally wasn't suggesting the unicorn was porcine, he started back up the rope as fast as he could climb.

Given how quickly Star took care of the doll, it was probably for the best that he went down rather than any other of them.
"Since we have the thing, we should probably make away with it." So that their local Guardian could do whatever he intended to do with it.
He was not going to say anything that might go out and jinx them. No reason to go and give his shadow name more meaning than what he had intended when picking it. Similarly, it might be obvious but given that there were suggestions about napping more than necessary, it might just be necessary to be said aloud.
They clearly overstayed their visit.
Strix walked over to the side of the roof and glanced down the alleyway from where they had jumped from one roof to the current one.
"We can use the rope to rappel down here, unless there was another plan?" They did have one to get onto this roof, but as far as he recalled none to get off of it again.

It was totally like the Annabelle doll! Except you never really saw her move in the movies, but still! Holy shit!
As she was deciding what spell would best help Star, he did his own magic and took the wind right out of that thing.
Well, so much for showing off and actually being useful. She thinks with an internal frown.
Looking over to Strix, "Not sure if we actually had a plan or not. Using the rope seems the like a good option, though a slow option. Getting out of here quickly is preferred, no telling what else is in that museum."
That being said, she looks back towards Star and the room under him.

Goggles turn to Strix. "All the cameras are facing away from us now, but they're pointing out. To see anyone incoming. Which would mean that they'd see us going. So. Uh. Before we do anything absconding with the loot. Could you or you, do something about the camera...s?" she asks, thinking that the Moros could matter up something. Or hell, didn't Death having something to do with shadows? Goggles turn to Faye, surly there was a Spirit something other that could be done.
And hell, if the Tee dee Ess twosome couldn't do something, Tuesday'll just pull some wires.

Before Faye turned away from the spectacle of the room down below, something caught her Spirit-tinted eyes...
There was something issuing from the mirror down below, a black cloud, roiling like ink in tempest tossed waters, and a faint red glow began to emanate...
And, as Star began to climb back up the rope, he swore he could hear the sound of a vast muscle rhythmically pumping below him, a sound that, somehow, he knew was coming from the amulet...
And, sitting on one of the pedestals, Strix spotted something else. A book. A book that appeared like a dark stain in his Stygia tinted eyes...
The radio, it seemed, was not the only item of power that Gutenberg had managed to collect. The only question was, what would they do about it?
Since Faye has spirit sight, she is witnessing the mirror. Star is hearing the amulet. Strix is seeing the book. Tuesday is looking at Cameras.

Jack's just climbing.
Mission parameters. Project scope. All of that. And all of that creepy down there? SEP. Someone. Else's. Problem. The Angel had enough problems of his own, flying up the rope with nerves a-jangle from the Bisque Bombardment. The sound throbbed like his own little heart as he finally pulled himself up and out of the hole and started coiling the rope. He stuffed it in the pack and long fingers waggled at Tuesday for the radio to shove in.
"I'm going to kick a few cameras, jump off, and make like Usain Bolt."
The words were soft and calm. He wasn't leaving a rope -- and Sympathy -- behind when there were other Mages in play. He wasn't leaving the cameras up to Strix. Clearly it was every person for themselves and he knew Tuesday could land a jump. Faye could Life up some wings or Olympic quads.
Jack's always got your back... until you don't have his.
