The Neighbor woman perks visibly at the shared connection, “Oh yeah?” A few blinks follow and she asks, “What is she doing her dissertation on? Or is she not ABD?” The tremble in her voice begins to fall away, happy for something else to think about other than the bloody images of people that has seared itself into the woman's memory.
Meanwhile, as Einstein tries to discern the quality of the world around her – something that escapes her notice – the lab monkeys make quick work of disposing of Star and Barton's gear.
“Yeah, sure. Go ahead,” Barton replies to Star's question, half absently and paired with a listless shrug. His mind is other places and Barton makes no show of trying to hide it. “Anyway, I have to seal up the crime-scene.” It's half a dismissal, “take it easy.”
