Peter looks as one of the random Kindred of this town approaches him.

"Afraid? Certainly not. I've just found it easier to see the people you're looking for from out here. Usually. Plus, I'd rather be studying, but... it's court. So here we are. I don't believe we've met."

As he speaks, Peter makes a quick scan of the crowd, noting the locations of his Priscus, Headstrong, Gideon, Aesop, and Shadow. Shadow? Hey, he could go chat with her! She's fascinating and approachable, in his covenant, and someone fairly new to him. Plus, she talks, which half of his covenant in this city doesn't do, and the other half he'd be staked for going and speaking to them. Shadow is perfect.

Twist remained easily in step with her Prince and the Harpy as they traveled the Temple, adding her own comments to theirs on the various pieces. She has every appearance of fully enjoying the evening and the artwork- a smile lingering even when they are doing no more than exchanging pleasantries with others. She also appears quite at ease within the Temple and the Goddess representations, making the occasional comment about a piece that would make any Crone standing near her proud and slightly surprised, after all she is the head of the Invictus.

During the commotion with Victoria and John a small furrow creases her brow but she remains silent throughout. The Prince had things well in hand with his Sheriff and fellow Hound. Her focus was on Victoria and John though and she missed the glance that Ishani shot her way. As they walked away though to return to perusing the artwork, both Asa and Ishani could tell that not all of her mind was on the first few pieces they approached- she had thoughts crossing her mind but at any querying look she would simply smile reassuringly and promise to speak later. By the time Ishani returned to them after speaking to Konstantin, she was once more fully occupied with enjoying the pieces.

At the suggestion of all three obtaining gargoyles, Twist glanced to the granite pieces, considering. A slow smile spread across her face and she nodded, "I like the idea." She said simply but was prevented from further comments by the announcement of the beginning of the performances.

At the sound of the first words out of Dirge's mouth, a purely delighted grin flashed across Twist's face and her focus turned fully to the woman singing on stage. She quickly added her applause to the rest, and catching Regina's eye shared a smug smile, nodding her head barely in acknowledgment of Regina's unspoken comment. Mariel recieved applause as well and hearing Ishani speak of performing, Twist turned to Asa as well, a silent query on her face.

Charlie turned his attention towards the ones called Dirge and Mariel.If he had to choose, he seemed to have a preference for the former, as the lack of understanding the words made it easier for him to get wrapped into the music. He applauded both of them enthusiastically, but he still had the voice of Dirge in his head after both performances. Still feeling the buzz from the harmony of both singers, he moved himself to look at the carved pieces made by Konstantin, impressed that despite being so disciplined he has an impressive artistic side as well.

The nights have been well. Tell him this.

"The nights have been well, Mr. Hartman. And yourself?"

"They have been pleasant. I have learned some new things about the domain and its people. What do you think of our newest cousin to town? The one now staked outside probably behind a bush?" Time to play the game.

Asa applauded after Mariel was finished. It was an interesting counter-point to her performance at the Daeva get-together at the Asylum.

It was inspired by the dream? Was it a spiritual epiphany for her?

He couldn't make sense of it. Without the statement of inspiration, he would have thought she sung of her God, or the Church. Unless she saw the ghostly residue of the dead as proof that she wasn't alone.

At Ishani's question, and Twist's look, he left the odd question behind. "I believe the Hierophant will perform next, and after that..." he replied quietly.

Regina applauds for Mariel. Catching her eye during the performance and giving a nod of encouragement. While not as comforting as Dirge's Italian had been, it still spoke very well of Mariel.

Once again, Jayant silently cringes at the title. It wasn't that he dislikes titles, on the contrary, he found people with titles worthy of respect, it just so happened that he felt he did not deserve this one.

"I am as well as can be expected, thank you. And yourself?"

As Mariel takes to the stage, Jayant watches her performance purely out of respect and lightly claps at the end, before turning his attention back to Wilhelm.

"My apologies, please continue."

"I am doing quite well, and with my haven almost in order I will be able to make it out into the city more often now. Some of the earlier events were a bit...surprising, though. Are all courts usually this eventful or did I merely pick a particularly interesting time to arrive? Speaking of which, I hope you do not mind me using your title here tonight. It is probably best to err on the side of caution, given the aforementioned..." Wilhelm motioned vaguely towards where the disturbance had happened between the two Ventrue, "eventfulness."

[Jayant Nagaraj]

"Well, I cannot say about every court, this is my third since arriving. However, yes, there does seem to be something on the agenda," he smirks, thinking back to the burning of someone called Gabriel and the eventful Carthian screwup at September's court. "As I said before, I have no problem with you dropping the title. I cannot say that it will not go unnoticed but alas, that is out of my hands."

[Bo Albion]

Karen claps after both performances. "Bravo!" She grins up at Mariel.

Mariel stepped off the stage, handing her microphone to Circe. FREE!

She had noticed someone new to her who had seemed to appreciate her music, so she went over to where the woman was standing.

Hello, she said in a friendly voice. I'm Sister Mariel Fitzgerald. I don't believe we've met.
