Vic had opened the doors for Arnold and Konstantin to escort John outside, and bows to them and to Ishani as they pass.

Konstantin had suggested moving the staking to the area behind the Temple, and to Ishani, he replies "We can leave him back here, out of sight. Is brush back here, we can use to hide him." He looks around, noting some places where the torpid vampire would probably be secure enough.

"The Prince changed his mind on displaying this one?" Konstantin asked, his tone of voice making it clear he wasn't really questioning Ishani so much as just wanting to make sure he had met the Prince's expectations. After the screw-up with the exploding vampire he was very careful about that.

Circe

Circe watches Dirge head off to prepare her performance, then turns as Gahji approaches and addresses her.

"But of course," she says. "I do not believe we've met. My name is Circe."

Ishani smiles. "Yes, for the moment. And thank you Konstantin."

She returns to the festivities and rejoins Asa and Twist examining the artwork. She gives a slight bow to Asa as she approaches him. "Thank you for heeding my request, Prince Clarke."

Victoria listened to the Prince's declaration and order concerning the man's staking. She expected the Prince to do something because of the way the man spoke to him but she did not expect him to be staked over it. What was he planning?

Then, when the Prince turned to her and spoke for the first time in...wait how many weeks has it been since he spoke to me? That is so like him for those to be his first words. She noticed the glance that Ishani gives her and hoped that she did not think that Victoria was intentionally causing conflict amongst them. Especially after their talk and her speech about how protective she was of the trio.

Victoria bowed her head and spoke, "Of course Prince Clarke." She had no idea what he exactly he wanted to discuss, but there were suspicions. The full reality of what happened hit her and she gave a mental sigh.

Ugh! What a mess. Now I need to issue formal apologies to several people because of this.

Charlie watches the outburst with a raised eyebrow, especially when he sees Prince Clarke speak in anger, soon to be followed by Konstantin and another who approach him.

Damn, glad I wasnt on the receiving end of that.

Leaning close to Karen he whispers, "Oh we are better known for flying off the handle. We just look better doing it. This kinda comes off as a bad pissing contest. So what do you make of the festivities so far?" he asks in a bit louder tone, trying not to add to the number of people gawking at the interruption.

After taking care of the torpid Kindred, Konstantin heads back in to the festivities. After first making sure all is okay with the Prince, and taking a careful look at all those around him other than Twist and Ishani, he looks around until he finds Elanah.

When he spots her, he approaches her. "Please come with me for a moment, Elanah" his tone firm, but neither loud nor obviously angry.

"Pleasant enough. Most of the artwork looks to be well-done, although I'll admit I've never had much of an eye for that sort of thing." Karen takes a moment to scan the room, spotting some of the Kindred that she had met in the dream but not yet in person. "If you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to go work the room, as it were." She smirks, then nods to Charlie before moving to look at Regina's artwork.

Karen nods politely to those gathered at the piece. "Good evening."

Konstantin directs Elanah once again to the copy of the Prince's Laws posted on the wall. He speaks to her quietly, clearly not angry, but very much wanting to get a point across.

"What you did, stepping up to fight in case of trouble... this, I like. You are brave, ready to fight... very good qualities. But if you had fought there, you would have done wrong thing, and suffered for it."

He gestures to the Laws again. "Rules of Elysium. None may fight at Elysium unless authorized by the Prince. Hounds can, and the Reeve, and the Keeper of Elysium, if needed to keep peace. Only one exception. All are expected to act to protect the Prince if he is threatened."

Meeting Elanah's eyes, Konstantin says "You are warrior, ready to fight. I respect this, and like you. I do not want to see you suffer the Prince's wrath for doing wrong thing for right reason. Especially, I would not like to have to visit his wrath on you, but I would have no choice. Is my duty. Study the Laws. Know them."

He lets himself smile a bit as he says "We need warriors like you fighting our enemies, not staked and in torpor. You understand this, yes?"

Aesop watched from some isolated cove, the events unfurling. Venture were usually insane and Venture Invictus were usually insane and self righteous, nothing that happened surprised him so far. To him they were the biggest monsters in kindred society and he wanted nothing to do with any of them, and it was farther proof he didn't belong. It was Elysium for some but not for him.
