Peter
Peter hears the commotion, and shifts around the group to find Gideon. He wasn't sure if Gideon had noticed him before he spoke, but when the ruckus subsides he rather quietly he makes the comment, "And they flip the Gangrel shit for being stupid." There's a quiet chuckle that follows it, and Peter makes eye contact with his superior within the Order before moving off to say hello to a few others.
Well, my Priscus is outside being busy... talked to Gideon... Joseph bores me because he never says anything... greeted Circe when I got here... don't think I see DeBruyn anywhere... this is city business, so while I might get away with greeting Asa and Ishani on another night, this isn't the time or place... especially not after that shit. I'd like to avoid a staking -- they really cut into study time. I don't know most of the others here, beyond having seen them last court. Yep, looks like my list is checked off. Pete old boy, peruse the art a bit and keep your head down like your unlife depended on it. Because with moods like they are now, it very well might.
And that is exactly what Peter does.
Wade
Wade had really being going to speak with Madam Stamford to thank her again for her willingness to see him and welcome him that other night, but after the exchange that had played out, he suddenly thought perhaps that wouldn't be the best move.
Instead, he looks for Miss Wells. It occurred to him he didn't know if she had a formal title... he would have to inquire, and if need be apologize for any oversights on his part. She had been the first person he met in town, and she was quite attractive. Eventually spotting her, Wade moves closer to her where he can be noticed but keeps a respectful distance so as not to intrude on her current conversation.
After all, courtesy and discretion were hallmarks of a good businessman. And when you have all eternity, you can afford to show some patience.
