Damn! Not only could Jack dance, but the guy could sing! She clapped as he finished his song, that was pretty impressive.
When he returned to the table, “Damn, you can dance AND sing! Awesome job up there.” She had to give the guy props, props were due.
Then Aurum decided to take the stage, so Faye takes another pull from her beer. Hey, courage had to come from somewhere right?
Ok, so Aurum wasn’t as good as Jack, but hey, it took some guts to get up there and sing. There was some clapping for her and a smile,
“Way to go girl!” she says.
As she was about to stand, Ellie surprised her and took the stage. Hey, that works, more liquor courage.
It wasn’t a song she was expecting, but adding some newer music broke up the steady 80s music. And, well, yah, Ellie wasn’t all that good. But hey, she did it, and that gets a clap and a cheer.
Holding up her beer in salute, “Props girl!” she said with a smile.
And, well, guess that made it her turn. Another quick drink of the beer and up she was, heading to the stage. She could do this, totally, and if she bombed, then well, whatever. It would just mean she would never add singing to her act.
Can’t say she didn’t try, though it was safe to say singing was not her thing.
And once the song was done, she made her way back to the table, and laughed at herself.
