Seeing the nod, Jayant feels a sudden jolt of guilt.
Why do I always go running for help at the slightest perceived problem?
Stepping back into the shadow, Jayant waits for them to conclude their business.
"I am unsure, but every bit of information helps see the exactly the strength of the threat we are confronting." Myrah said as she opened the medical bag and withdrew a the syrng she mentioned, carefully placed inside a container to ensure it was not damaged.
She takes the device, looking at it. "Lady Ishani and I have already examined this, subjecting it to the Spirit's Touch and to certain abilities combining Auspex with the wisdom granted by the Goddess. I do not think either of those routes is likely to provide further information. However, another of the Circle, Obsidian, has some abilties not shared by any of the rest of us. If you are willing to leave this with me for safekeeping for a few nights, I can see if she is able to provide us with any further insights." She looks back at Myrah. "I can guarantee only that we of the Circle will do all we can to pull all the knowledge we can from this item."
"That would be acceptable. If Obsidian finds anything, please forward the information to me."
"I believe that is enough for tonight." Myrah said, closing the medical bad. "I will try and inform viscount about your offer. I will attempt to also contact the Ordo Dracul and see what they have found or if they have additional information about the rituals or the Dreams."
"Very good, then. Any information we discover, I will share with you immediately" Circe says. She stands up. "I hope this will be the start of closer cooperation between the Circle and the First Estate, and hopefully between the other covenants and yours and mine as well."
"I would hope so as well." Myrah said, standing at the same time. "I belive I have some work ahead of me. I thank you again for seeing me." She said, brushing a bit of dust off her suit. "I bid you both good evening."
Jayant stands aside for Myrah to leave, giving a small nod of respect. He had no idea why; it was what he had always done.
Honestly, he did not know. Jayant wasn't one who searched himself for feelings, he done his duty and that was that. However, recent exchanges had shown that there could possibly be more to his existance than one of a servant and bodyguard.
That thought alone chilled him to the bone. Such feelings could endanger his task.
"Confidence," He whispered, avoiding his Hierophant's eyes. It was simple. One word. However, it meant so much to those of this domain, and Jayant needed to gain some swiftly to succeed.
