She accepts his arm, gently placing her hand through and on the upper part of his arm, “Thank you.” She says with a smile. She turns her attention to Ariana, “I have Madame Seneschal Donovan. I had the pleasure of having an escort on one of my recent Patrols, the company made for an enjoyable evening.” She replies before turning her attention back to Nathanial.

If there was a reason behind that question beyond simply making small-talk, it went right over the Spider's head.
"I am afraid I have not yet ventured into the night, in search of entertainment, Madame Seneschal Donovan". It took considerable concentration on the part of the Scientist to draw the answer out beyond a simple "No". As far as he could see, a simple "No" was preferable for all involved. It would bring an end to such small talk, and let everybody carry on with the business of being respectful and stuff...
A line of thought which ended abruptly as the Lord attempted to slap some sense into his unwilling counterpart.
Ariana was not entirely sure why the Lord had not gone out much as of yet. Perhaps it stemmed from their previous discussion about his past.
As they walked, Ariana’s head gently titled in Daniella’s direction. “That is superb Madam Au Pair Sage. Did you find anything of interest on your patrol?”
As much as some did not enjoy small talk, Ariana knew it was important to the First Estate. It helped maintain the influence that their Covenant held within the city. Sometimes it led to many other directions. However, the Lordess was patient with someone who had interest in a good way. “Quite understandable Mr. de l’Aubespine. Sometimes it takes the right opportunity to venture out into the nightlife of our Domain.” She gave him a reassuring smile as they walked toward the conference room. "What is something that would interest you?" Asking the Lord for his opinion.

“My patrols have been fairly quiet, though my companion and I will be visiting some local art galleries in the near future.” She says, smiling to Ariana. She then turns her gaze to Nathaniel, wondering what his answer would be, wondering if she should offer to bring him to the various Clubs of the area. But she decides to wait for his answer, perhaps the night life was just not his thing, which wasn’t a big deal, clubs were not for everyone. Deciding to bring Ariana into the conversation more, "And you Madame Seneschal Donovan, any intersting evenings lately?" she asks, it was only polite to ask her about her evenings as well.

Nathanial recalled his previous discussion with the Seneschal on this topic, and his answer had not changed since. He knew that other vampires did not feel the same...compulsions which kept a Spider from leaving his web. But even still, both Lord and Scientist alike found the notion of attending to the nightlife for entertainment as remarkably alien.
He wondered if it was perhaps just a matter of age. So much had been lost in his slumber, yet enough remained for him to grasp certain certainties. Bars, pubs, clubs...whatever you wished to call them, they were not places for those of station. A gentlemen may have visited, but only within the bounds of ones misbegotten youth. Company was to be held within ones abode, or select private venues. And one certainly did not go looking for company.
And yet, a voice that belonged to neither Lord nor Scientist arose in the dark vestiges of his mind, speaking in its quiet, but directed tone. Its message was simple, and to the point. The times have changed.
...Well, it can't be all that painful to give it a try...
"I am unsure of what, if any, interests I have in that regard, Madame Seneschal Donovan. I do recall you mentioning the 'Lily', I believe, at our last meeting. May I ask if your offer still stands?" replied the Malocusian in a polite tone, silently praying the answer was 'No.'
Ariana wondered who the mysterious companion of Daniella’s had been. But she would ask about that another time. The Mekhet’s respected their privacy from what she knew of the family.
“My evenings are always interesting.” The Lordess smiled with amusement. Whether public or private she always had something going on. “Recently the musical Wicked was in Sacramento and a gala was followed after its conclusion. It seems we are not the only ones who favor costumed dress, there were many high profile people that attended the evening dressed for the theme.” Ariana said while commenting on her recent evening of her mortal career.
When Nathaniel mentioned he had still not been out but seemed interested, Ariana smiled and nodded while gesturing a hand his direction. “Why yes the offer still stands Mr. de l’Aubenspine. I think you would enjoy the atmosphere at the Lily. The atomosphere does help to carry a conversation, would you agree Madame Au Pair Sage?” She looked to Daniella for her opinion. “Is there any other place you recommend to someone new in town?”
As they neared the conference room, the door was open and Ariana entered. She did not sit yet and waited for the other two to enter the room.

Daniella listens as Ariana describes Wicked, quickly deciding the theater was something she should look into seeing. "It sounds like it was a wonderful evening! I am sorry I missed it. Perhaps the next time there is such an amazing show in town, and you needed company, I am more than happy to offer to attend with you." she says. When Nathaniel mentions the Lily, and Ariana asks her opinion on it and other places, "The Liliy is a very elegant place to visit, and I could not agree more Madame Seneschal Donovan. Another place?" she asks, taking a moment to think, "Besides the Avalon, I would usually recommend Club Ember." she didn't think it would be Nathanials type of place, but Ariana did as her opinion. And while strip clubs were usually not her thing, Alice had done a wonderful job making it a very classy club.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, Nathan cursed quietly. It would have been so easy to just say that he would look into sometime, but no. He had to just go and basically invite the Lordess to join him. Idiot...
He listened as the Au Pair gave her opinion on the local venues with but mild interest. He had already signed himself off on one trip, but it would be a cold day in hell before he volunteered for a second round in the ring. Still, the fact that she approved of this 'Lily' was pleasing, to some degree.
With a mental sigh, he shruged off the thought for the moment. It would seem the Seneschal had something in mind.
"May I ask what the protocol regarding seating is?" he ask openly in a polite tone, unsure of who best to direct the question towards. It seemed like they were waiting on him to make the first move before sitting down.
“Yes it certainly was a wonderful evening. I may have something to attend in the future and I will gladly let you know Madam Au Pair Sage.” As Daniella continued with her comments about the settings the Lordess gave a slow nod. “Yes, Club Ember is classier than most venues of that nature. It is still sometimes an acquired taste, however it is an Elysia in our Domain.” Ariana gave an agreeable smile.
“A very good question Mr. de l’Aubespine. When a situation of this nature would come up there are two things you could do. First and foremost you should wait till the ladies are seated. Secondly, if the setting permits, it is appropriate to pull out the chair for the senior member of the room if she does not already have an escort.” Her hand raised to make another point. “However, at times ladies do not always wait for this to transpire so I would not take offense if they moved ahead of the situation.” The Lordess still stood and watched her fellow Lord.

Simple enough. The Malocusian nodded his assent, and moved to pull out a chair for the Seneshcal, bowing his head slightly in her direction as he finished. He then, provided she had not already done so for herself, repeated the gesture, this time bowing his head towards the Au Pair. He was escorting her, afterall.
He remains standing, waiting for any errors to be pointed out.
