Lenny smiled, half in admiration, half in humor at his fortune and watched the two women. He watched for just a few moments, long enough to admire the beauty of the two Daeva which was their due but not long enough to be intrusive. Leaving a few bills on the table to pay for the drinks, he slipped away.

Twist smiled and nodded, "A pleasure to meet you Ms. Black."
Twist followed her gaze and quirked an eyebrow, almost looking slightly confused at her statement. Deciding to simply roll with it she gave a briefly sympathetic look and nodded, "Of course." Stepping off the dance floor she caught the last brief flash of Lenny before he disappeared from sight. Holding her arm out she silently invited Allison to take hold before moving toward a secluded booth toward the back corner of the room.
Letting her slip into booth first, Twist slid in on the other side.
"Miami you said? What brings you to Sacramento?"

Allison accepted the invitation as she was guided to the booth. She slid off the heels and gave her feet a small respite. As Twist asked her question she gave a smile, yet the memories of her last nights in Miami were far from pleasant.
"I did not leave Miami on good terms." At this stage in the game, she knew honesty was best. It was not hard for Allison the find information on Sacramento, and she knew it would not be hard for others to find out information about Miami. Was just the way the rumor-mill worked...
"My maker made some enemies he should not of, and they wanted to grant me the same fate as him by proxy." She gave a slight sigh, her smile fading for a moment. She drew in a breath as her smile returned. "I am here wishing to start a new life, with permission of course, and seek to make my skills available to you as you see fit."

Twist's first thought was apprehension, the last thing she wanted was an attractive female troublemaker running around the city. But it faded as Allison smoothly explaned why.
Leaning back she examined Allison from under her lashes, it was time for business.
"What skills do you bring to offer?"

Allison considered the question for a moment. "Honestly, I do not want to come off as cocky but I think I excel, even more so than most of our family, at the social side of things. Also during my time in Miami I tried to develop a relationship with the American Red Cross, which I have been able to partly transfer to Sacramento." She paused for a moment and decided it would probably be best to move from vague to specific.
"My sire taught me many tricks which I hone each and every night of this dance." She did indeed seem to possess a semblance of life, yet was not using Blush, but something entirely different. "I have extensive experience blending in or standing out. He kind of made it a point to be able to blend into almost any social circle and almost every night was a different sort of venue.' She gave a smirk. "I am still trying to find my place and figure out what to do. I do not know what he had planned for me to be, and now without him I am just trying to find myself."

After the latest Invictus meeting it was almost strange to not hear Allison lay out her talents with the seemingly express intention of claiming a title.
"Confidence is not a bad thing to have in our world," Twist commented with a faint smile.
"A talent worthy of the family." Twist tilted her head slightly to consider Allison, "Have you allliance or do you simply follow the ways of your family at this time?"

Allison considered the question for a moment. "Honestly I have not considered much into that. I just tend to try and make friends over enemies." She knew there was benefit to being a part of a covenant, but she also knew that with it came enemies.
"I am open to possibilities..." Allison admitted, though she saw little possibility for the Crones because of their strange ways, and Lancea due to a Bishop being a driving reason she had to flee Miami in the first place.
Allison smirked "New beginnings and all..." It was still strange being on her own. While she was with her sire, he watched and guided her closely. She knew he was grooming her for something. Now, though, she had to find her own way.

"Friends over enemies..." Twist repeated Allison's words as though mulling the concept over in her head. It wasn't so much that it was a foreign concept, it was in fact quite diplomatic, it just had been some time since Twist had come across one who pursued that particular way of unlife.
Twist gave Allison a warm, ingratiating smiles, "I spent many years without joining. Despite my current following, I do not begrudge those who do such. But, on the other hand- once I did, I found..." Twist paused, tilting her head as though searching for the words. Apparantly not finding them she simply smiled, "I found that I belonged more than I could have possibly thought. I will not pressure you but I would not close the door on such options- I would be more than happy to introduce you to my choosen group."

Allison gave a nod to Twist's words. "I would listen to any advice you are willing to part with." Allison thoughts for a moment on the invitation. "I would be more than happy to learn more and be granted the introduction."
It was apparent that a lot was running through her mind. She felt drawn to her for the lack of guidance that part of her feared to be without. She knew of the covenants, but vaguely and did not really know what to expect.

A pleased and satisfied smile appeared for a second before mellowing into something less meaningful.
"There is one of our group who has the responsibility of teaching those newer to the workings the correct ways. I am sure they would be willing to tell you of the advantages. I will set up a meeting and introduce you properly."
"Though I imagine that as this is our first meeting and you claim no alliance you have not yet been acknowledged by the City proper and that food has been...scarce?" her voice lilted at the end of the question. Not so much implying that Allison would be incapable of hunting in a new city, but rather a question on whether or not she had done so in the rack due to her lack of acknowledgment.
