Clean up Crew: Sewage spill

Well over a year has passed since the tragic incident at the sewage processing plant. Over a dozen dead. One arrested. A few more sighted. The administration building partially destroyed. Overflow floods of sewage and members of the S.W.A.T. Assaulted one with life changing injuries.

It was not the proudest moment of Sacramento's awakened community. And it all started with another death a worker at the plant had a rat burst from his neck while eating dinner at home. All in all it took a bad situation and made it so much worse.

With a bit of prep work done two mages now return to the scene, to investigate and if needed clear up any left over remnants.

Needless to say security has tightened rather substantially. The chain linked fence has been replaced with a metal sheet wall topped with barbed wire. No longer can they see in or easily access the site. The security booth at the drive in is now manned by two armed guards. Additional flood lights have been added to improve visibility both inside the wall and to it's exterior making even an approach difficult. More cameras of course at every door and entrance plus some around the wall. Extra guards and new digital locks requiring ID all to make sure employees are safe while they complete their duties. Of course none of this can stop a determined mage but every obstacle is another chance for things to start spiralling again.

Flood lights or no, night is still quitter, still provides some means to hide. And so in the cool spring night with the stench of chemicals and human waste heavy in the air the two shamans start a ways back from the wall in the shadows of the industrial lot.

Skye, Asclepius your plot begins here. Please include all relevant spells, equipment and stats in a ooc box or spoiler box with each post thank you! And do any final prep on your sheets before entering the scene.

With his gear assembled and laid out on one of the previous nights before, the Shaman adorns his chosen outfit for the nights investigation. Black t-shirt and Black jogging bottoms finished off with Black Trainers, as requested by his First Talon. Making sure to grab his other gear acquired for the night he pads out his pockets with the selections of items.

He drove near to the location, this way there was at least a means of getting out of dodge quickly should they need to. He parked his car a fair walk from the Location of the sewage plant, following the warnings and instructions of Skye once again. She had the right of it, he did not want them to suspect his car if it was parked outside the location.

There was no indicated location of which himself and Skye would meet and so he opted to hover nearby with the sewage plant in view but himself not specifically outside the front door. Skye had mentioned an overview of the location before going in so I guess I set up and wait in a decent overlook position for her to arrive. While waiting for his associate to arrive, he stood with an eye out for anyone to approach, opting to not wear the mask or gloves just yet so he could be recognised. With regards to how Skye would look he did not know what to expect as she stated she would come looking differently to how she normally would.

Asclepius arrives first and waits, and waits some more, where was Skye? was the first talon lurking in the shadows? had she already gone in? Regardless he remains for the moment alone. With his vehicle parked up a good distance away it means that an immediate means of escape is not at hand but he has one close by and hopefully unassociated to him should the need arise. A solid compromise.

The processing plant is located amid some other industrial structures and buildings if the arrow is looking for a vantage point, particularly one to see over that pesky new wall the rooftop of one of those buildings would be his best bet.

As time ticks on, it was hard for the Arrow to not begin to get a little antsy as Skye had yet to arrive. He was alone, out in the dark and at the mercy of anyone that had an eye on him, at this point it was very hard to not feel like someone was watching him close by. With all of the threats roaming around the town that had made themselves known he could feel the creep of paranoia begin to set in.

Did I have the wrong time? This is not a normal thing to do when going into an investigation with someone. A sigh to himself. I am sure there will be a logical explanation, might as well make the most of the free time.

Noting the Buildings that surrounded the Processing plant and how they would offer a decent vantage point. If only I had a means to get up there... well I do... but the risk is too great for something that is not urgent. Sure it certainly would be simple to just transform into a bird and fly up there for a peek around but a spell of that magnitude for a little scouting sounded irresponsible. The buildings themselves he could have entered into but again there is another risk of getting caught being where he should not be.

Well first thing I should do then, is see if there is any resonances lingering around. That should open up if there is anything of real worry that has been here. The Arrow might as well get underway, no sense wasting time standing still after all.

The spell took hold and the Arrow was thankful, he began to look upon the wall that surrounded the processing plant and its entrance for any thing that might stand out. Resonance or mundane.

The arrow casts his mage sight opening his awareness and perception to the resonances of the living world. Not as overwhelming as sense life but still a rush all the same. After filtering out the natural resonances of the planet he can tell that yes indeed there are motes of resonance around the sewer plant, stronger more complex streams seem to be emanating from within but again that's a harder thing to behold from his current position.

The resonance he can see is dark and fetid, twisted and undulating not very nice at all, if they were to become fully fledged spirits he can imagine they would not be pleasant ones. He does not the quantity of resonance motes in unusually high especially as he is aware of life in an highly urban area.

As for the more mundane well a combination of fire escapes, external stairs, rubbish bins and the like could he reckon provide a ways and means to reach a nearby roof top if he was willing to chance it.

Dressed up in a hopefully more simplistic manner than her regular clothing, having opted for a black slightly oversized lightweight long sleeve top. Enjoying the freedom of arm movement, slim as the extra space may be, black whole jeans, and a dark belt to tie the ensemble together paired with shoes made for running. Hair colored auburn with temporary hair color, and having spent far to long applying makeup to her hands/wrists/face/neck/ears to give herself a healthier sheen instead of her usual telltale far to pale look, with just a light every day makeup accompaniment to look ordinary.

Hating the sensation of wearing such drab clothing, and whole on top of that, not even stylishly or lived in torn, how did people enjoy such disgusting attire? And auburn hair, all for coloring her hair regularly but wearing auburn now that was one that burned. Pink, purple, black, rainbow, blue, green in all their honor but auburn no that felt wrong and just washed her out, and to top it off a healthy sheen yusch as soon as this was over she would need a damn long shower.

Heading towards the area on foot to find an overview whilst awaiting to meetup with her fellow arrow, needing to scan the area first then if not finding him well wait around for a bit. The sight though taking her with annoyance, now that was security with a capital S for such a place that was previously so open.
Well he did mention his adept levels, waterways would perhaps work but would remove gear, if Guru´s words were collected so should there be an open waterway or pipes, damn Guru you deserve a smack to the head and 500 laps for this. Well she had abandoned him once so in a sense they were even but he had also both forgiven, forgot and in all honesty it was not as big of a job where he had been left with another arrow on a voluntary task.

Taking out her copied part of the map to start looking for connected water passageways and the park area Guru had spoken of during their planning whilst slowly moving about looking for Asclepius, half regretting not having brought her phone.

Well that is a positive start... we have something to work with as a possible point of interest or problem. This blasted wall is a bit irritating however, If they knew a chain link fence wasn't going to stop people getting in then what would a wall do.

The Arrow was left with few options on how to view into the plant, and given that Skye had not arrived yet he needed to make a next move.

That Resonance does not strike me as a pleasant one, ideally I want to be out and away from it as soon as possible.

The Arrows eyes move to a nearby building with a external fire escape and stairs, It did provoke possible trouble but he formulated contingencies if someone were to chase him up there to remove him from the location.

Ah what the hell, it would be a simple and easy job for Skye to do, but, I guess I will have to be the one to give it a go.

As the Arrow makes his way over to the Area in order to begin his climb to the roof he moves to cast a spell to cover him in case there are any camera's watching this fire escape.

Invisible to Machines - failure

Shit the spell did not take hold...

The Arrow was not going to push his luck further, instead of trying to re-cast currently he opted to don his acquired mask and gloves and putting his phone on silent, then placing it away in his pocket before trying to access the buildings roof.

Skye knows her fellow Arrow will be in the area and part of their planning could have easily include a options for meeting points so as she moves between these Asclepius can be located more by virtue of she knows to look out for him. However the water ways fall into two categories, underground for anything old and large enough for a person or sealed yellow and blue pipes above ground made of some hard plastic as for a park well there certainly is not any thing here.

Skye can make a intelligence + composure roll to see if she can recall what Guru said and where she might be getting confused.

Asclspius's spell fizzles, maybe its the worry? maybe its all the moving parts of the plan but he just cant bring his will to bear in this moment. As he heads over towards the building he can see Skye making her way over finally.

If he wants to attempt to the climb its two athletics+ strength-3 each roll needs 2 suxx failure on the second roll will result in him falling! He can of course employ magic, relevant equipment etc to help himself.

Guru said what, 3 successes

Yeah she was late, clearly not having accounted for enough of tonight's endeavors to travel here, only making her recall Guru´s broken promise of teaching her to ride a metallic dragon as well as gift her one. Not that she knew how to get away with that though, the thought of having to show her drivers ID to any random police dreadful, doubting they would trace her down over state lines due to it when not even being a suspect in a crime but still the thought to give any cop or worse yet pretend cop the chance to trace her origins no thank you.

Looking upon her fellow arrow with a nod of the head, moving up close with a light look around them wanting to make sure no one was within earshot of them or spying on them for that matter.

Voice kept low not whispering just politely low, head turned to the side by him.
”Hiya, excuse my tardiness, no need for gauze, have I missed anything important?” Holding out a gloved hand towards him, fully expecting her well "gift" to be handed over to protect her own face as well not that she recalled the name for it, names were hard.

Glancing up the roof and over towards him with a questioning of if they were gonna ascend it, not looking to hard but then again she was a master in most forms of movement not named spelunking or parkour.
