The device on the mortal's belt appears to be a can of hairspray to Otto. Alicia would notice that there was a modification of a hose with an attached lighter adhered to the hairspray nozzle.
Two Kindred approach the mortal at the door. As he sees the approach, his radio is brought up to his mouth.
“Two people are at the door. One who left before day the other night.” The man turns and scans behind you and turns his body to look around the sides of the hotel.
“No sign of the man he was with that night. Holdfast over.”
“This is Control. Are they carrying?” The radio responds instantly.
The man now gives all of his attention to Otto and Alicia. His eyes were on Otto as he answers the question that Otto had asked. “Yes, I do. You did not inform us of your attendance tonight, which is…” The voice trails off as he looks Otto over, head to toe. This was a clear practiced eye. “- a bit rude, you see. You were told the stakes, were you not? And I see you also chose to bring a stranger.”
Now Alicia is given the same scrutiny of a careful look up and down. While some may stare in awe and admiration, this evaluation was of a professional doing his job. There was no friendliness or welcoming behavior. The man is standing alert and upright.
At the window of the hotel, a curtain is pulled back and a woman’s form can be seen looking out at Otto and Alicia.
“Are you carrying any weapons or communication devices? GPS?” The Hunter asks Otto calmly. “Who are you?” His gaze swings to Alicia.
The man seems to have not to have noticed the Mekhet.
At the motel, Kylar moves in shadows. He discovers that the motel was old, in poor repair and that there were many pools of darkness. He also discovered that the only side door led to an exterior staircase to the motels second floor. Standing at the interior wall, a laminated map of the motel has been displayed. It is an average hotel with two floors and an elevator and staircase off of the main lobby. To reach this main lobby, Kylar had two options. He could step out from the side of the motel and walk straight forty feet to the elevator and the staircase in front of the old cement block lobby. Or one would walk around the back of the motel and could walk alongside the side of the lobby wall a few feet. The design is simple: the doors of the first-floor motel rooms are open to the parking lot and the street. If Kylar stepped out from around the wall that he stood at, he would be in full view of the unknown mortal, Otto and Alicia.

Otto silently damned the man for being quick enough to report in before he could gauge the situation for himself. The Ventrue had considering trying to work a slightly-less-subtle Discipline on him, but the window of opportunity appeared to be lost. It also appeared that he had been recognized and remembered, which wasn't unexpected but still a tad frustrating.
"This wasn't exactly a planned visit." A lie, casually spoken.
And, as he had often been lectured in the past, the best lies had a few truths sprinkled in. He held up his smart phone as a show of good faith. "This is all I have, in terms of communication or electronics." He jerked his head towards Alicia. "She can introduce herself, but I thought she might be someone who your organization might have an interest in." Vague, noncommittal. "All I'm really asking right now is for you to talk to us."
Casually, and hopefully with sufficient subtlety, he invoked the Lord's Words to see if the mortal in front of them could be tricked into speaking more freely.

Eyes kept between the two men whilst letting her mind run rampant.
Average spray can effective range, usability time before becoming inept, ambient heat factor, current wind speed, appropriate distance to be kept. Letting Otto take the lead in his talks for the time being whilst keeping herself roughly 1.5 feet behind him to be close yet allowing his personal bubble and keeping herself from the guard.
Forcing her eyes to not look directly towards the woman, whilst memorizing the window location.
"Me?" Slowly opening her purse to raise her cellphone up with the screen turned towards the guard using her right hand as she turns it off before him, making very sure to make it obvious that she is doing nothing else nor displaying more than the turn off screen whilst answering him. "A woman who constantly have to look over her shoulder, knowing that anyone you see on the street might not be who they appear to be, and I am sick of it." Not to keen on not knowing who might be affiliated with the rogue Kindred she had recently spotted, or were just paid by him creating a possibility that anyone could be reporting back to him. "I want that threat gone, and oh I carry pepper spray."
Registering the tonal shift of the Reeve, recalling last time it was used as she lets out her own family's charm as a companion.

"Yeah? I still don't know why you think this is a bring your buddy to work day." The voice was initially gruff and unyielding. A man who appears to be a veteran of the nights.
"I haven't heard a name."
The man's psyche made a good attempt.
Yet the man becomes much more interested in Otto than in following the standard operating procedure. The gruffness melted into a rather caramel velvet warmth.
"What are you needing to know?"
Yet Alicia utilizes her Blood Gift of Majesty. The man's eyes are now jerked from Otto's dominance and the man stares at Alicia.
"What do you want?" The man asks. It appears that she has not made herself clear.
"Pepper spray. Yeah." The man nods in agreement to Alicia. Its a logical thing to do in this world. Who doesn't carry pepper spray? His body language seems to read.
The radio on the man cackled to life.
"Light tower: What are you doing?"
"Control, this is second. Maintaining operations." A new voice sounds over the radio.
The man was far too interested in Alicia to appear to react to the radio.
Was Otto's cousin still in dire straights in this room? Was a Breach imminent? The curtain flicks closed, and the motel room becomes a mystery.

Upon reaching the top of the stairs Kylar takes a look around to make sure there are no guards and hoping that there is a fire alarm nearby.
