“They seem to want us to climb the ladder now.” Chuckling, “Not that I’m in a hurry with the vines trying to think we don’t know they’re there.” Yeah, this Elemental isn’t that stupid.

“I can damage them with ice; they weren’t a fan of it last time. I have a knife, but I’m going to defer to both of you,” looking to Kray and Circe, “on what the call is. If you think we need firepower so to speak, I won’t argue.” It wasn’t her place. And there was a lot of vines, and it was better to have more weapons than not enough.

Glancing to Jack, “What are the chances something like this completely seals off this Gate? We don’t know enough about the vines and what they are. I don’t like having them right outside the Gate without intel on them. If they are dangerous or pose a threat, we need to know.” Then to the Monarchs, “But it’s their call.”

After the toll getting here had taken on the ogre leaving did not appeal and besides it had a problem. "Ah. Last time I chopped and bit up every vine that came at us, and even then we return to see them infesting the place we go and come back again who is to say how bad the situation will be." Leave it like this and he dreads to think just how numerous and large they could get.

Jacks suggestion is meet with similar dismissal. "Ah. I am not leaving the defence or protection of the hedge gate to hobs we don't know and can't strike a deal with. That's just asking for trouble. Nothing stopping them turning on us if they want." If and it was a big if a deal could be agreed then maybe there was a possibility of it. But not with these seemingly mindless things.

Mian had the right of it and was talking sense as best the giant could tell. "Hm. Yeah that about sums it up. Best not trust our protection to things we don't know." For all they know these things could have been sent as spies or feelers by something much worse like one of the gentry.

Hefting the axe into a two handed grip the ogre makes the cool. "Bah. Don't reckon they'll like this much, best be ready for something." And with a mighty grunt the ogre begins to swing and chop with intention to bring down the tree and by extension one end of the rope bridge.

And then, Kray began to swing his axe.

And by the sound the vines made, and the rush towards them, it was game on. Seems they were not very happy with Kray taking his axe to them.

Well, he got their attention for sure. At least they had two more Lost with them, and one was Circe with a lot of fire power with her.

For some bizarre reason the copy and paste will not work. I was also unable to get it to post after logging out, refreshing, and logging back in. But I did roll, that is the dice roll number. I'm sorry I couldn't figure out what was going on. But I didn't want to hold up the scene trying to troubleshoot it all day. Sorry :/
