[Witch]

"Alright," she answers truthfully enough to the various individuals who put forth the question.

When the bird speaks, there is a pause as she stares at it. Finally, she lets out a "Cute", her voice somewhat flat. And if there was any struggle to avoid making a comment about bird brains, it wasn't evident on her face.

Turning slightly, an eyebrow raised at the sight of Salem entering. But it didn't last long, to be replaced with a smile and a small lift of her hand in greeting to the returned mage. She asked no questions though, Chambers' already covered the big one after all.

[Aurora]

Snorting as she laughed, “You know Jinx, I have to agree with that assessment.” But she supposed there were those out there that enjoy pigeons.

The Shaman was truly enjoying the banter of the Thirteen and Jinx.

“Uh huh.” From her tone, clearly not buying it. “I was there when you came into existence, there was nothing innocent about you even then. I remember you were quite the trouble maker even then.” The whole shower thing comes to mind, but she doesn’t repeat it, out of respect for Thirteen. “Oh, there are some good late night talk shows, well, most of them are pure entertainment anyways.” Background noise mostly and to remind yourself how far humanity had fallen.

Someone else enters, and it takes her a moment, names were not her thing. Even before her change, names just didn’t tend to stick.

A hand was raised, “Hey!” but he remembered her, was that a good thing? He mentioned it had been a while, so someone who had been returning, which could be a good thing. Or not. But seemed friendly enough. “Sounds like a welcome back is in order?”

Glancing to Chambers, “Think they make headphones that small?” a slight smirk.

Then a solemn nod, “This is true. But that shouldn’t deter someone from trying again. It will only make the success that much more worthwhile.” She’d had plenty of failures over the years. But you have to keep trying.

Salem! That was the name! She needed like a small notebook with names in it or something. But Chambers didn’t seem on alert by his return, so she wasn’t too on alert, but she does keep an eye on both.

[Thirteen]

Salem was here? Her expression was some cross of surprised and annoyed as she witnessed the Warlock arrive. The annoyance, at least, was a part of Thirteen's resting face, so that wasn't unusual. "Well, look what the cat dragged in. Hello, Salem. Been a while."

The Libertine turned towards Chambers to address his questions, "He can listen to my air pods, but I don't think they make headphones that small." As for the matter of pigeons, "They don't get along, no. Often when I'd feed crows in the park, the pigeons were quick to move in and eat up." "Fricking thieves!" "And crows will often steal from pigeons, too." "What? No we... well, not often. It's not the same thing!"

The familiar bobbed his head happily, "See? Aurora agrees! She's as smart as she is beautiful! Pigeons suuuuuuck!" Then the Sharman critiqued his innocence, and the bird looked crestfallen. "You wound me, m'lady..."

Jinx perked up, however, from Witch's little compliment. "She thinks I'm cute!" Chest feathers puffed out! The Acanthus rolled her eyes.

[Salem]

The Warlock returns the smile to the Heirarch. "It has been a bit and I'm sorry for that," he says, glancing around for a second. "I'm hoping to be seen around a bit more often, yeah."

He wasn't expecting much of a hello from Witch, the Moros was always a quiet one; the smile and wave was enough, more than enough really. He would like to get to know her better but also knows that the Guardians tend to keep themselves. They tend to trust no one, Free Council even less so. Their loss.

Salem nods to Aurora and smiles. "Thanks. I hope you're doing well."

He sees that look of annoyance on his fellow Libertine's face and he can't really blame her for being upset at him. The Warlock did sort of disappear out of nowhere and with no communication to anyone. Things have likely changed and he wasn't here to help with any of it. "Yeah, it has. Sorry." he says, a shy blush coming to his cheeks as he grabs one of the muffins he brought, a blueberry one.

[Chambers]

A nod is given to Witch, quite as she was known to be. "Have you run into any trouble in the city of late, or have things been oddly quite for you as well?" His Fellow Moros had been involved in a number of happenings, she seemed to have a better sense of it then he did that was for sure.

He would Answer the question of headphones from Aurora but Thirteen supplied that and she would undoubtably know better then himself. "I think that might depend o nth consequence of failure, although in this case those shouldn't be anything to substantial." Failure and a boat load of backlash if the abyss took to much notice.

But on the topic of headphones is shows how little he did know. "I'm surprised air pods fit in his ears." It's not like birds of any sort have human like ears the wireless device was designed to fit in. "Crows stealing from pigeons I can understand, but pigeons must be braver then I gave them credit for it try it in return." Seagulls would be a different story those things could get nasty. "I'm surprised more don't end up as pigeon pie if they are tangling with more formidable birds." Corvids across the family had been to attack and on occasion even manage to kill lambs.

Salem's apology gets hand waved away. The nature of the city being what it was no sense in making any kind of thing about it. "Well I trust you know what to do, get yourself sorted and such." He had been around when the council had been reformed, and if not the charter was publicly accessible which laid it all out. "Once that's settled and sorted be sure to catch up on current affairs, there's a lot happening." And most of it was better to not be caught off guard by.

[Aurora]

There was another soft chuckle as she listened to the back and forth. It was quite refreshing.

“Maybe there’s a food that the pigeons hate that the crows love? Then you can feed that and it’ll keep the pigeons away?” might be an idea? Then again, maybe they were the type that would eat anything, she didn’t know.

“One thing you will learn about me Jinx, I’m not going to lie to spare your feelings, sorry. Even if you are an adorable bird.” It was just how she was.

“Oh, I can’t complain, and yourself?” it was her standard answer. Not an exciting one for sure, but he wasn’t Mysterium, and she didn’t really know him.

Snorting as she laughed, “Well, if Thirteen comes in with pigeon pie, we know shit went down, and Jinx came out on top.” Would she try pigeon pie?

[Thirteen]

The Enchantress stared at Salem for another long moment, then shrugged. "Fine, whatever. You know where the Assembly Hall is. There's pizza here if you want some." She nodded at the box on the table near her. "We'll get together soon and I'll run you through the recognition routine." Being a Councilor came with duties, and since there was no Mastigos Councilor, it fell to her as a member of his Order.

With that, Thirteen no longer looked annoyed. Not with the Warlock, anyway. There was always something else to tick her off.

Eyes shifted to Chambers, "They don't. Even those are too big for him to wear. Best I can do is lay them down and let him rest his head against one." "This morning I was listening to Guns n' Roses." "Do not start singin'." "Everybody's a critic."

"Oh, it happens. Crows aren't birds of prey, but they have killed pigeons before. It's a bloody little rivalry." "Yeah, man, them jerks better not screw with us!" "Usually don't come to violence, though. Crows can usually just drive the pigeons off with a few pecks."

She turned her attention towards Aurora, "The pigeons shouldn't be eatin' what I feed the crows, no. Pigeons are herbivores. Crows are omnivores, so their feed's got items in it not meant for pigeon tummies." She took a bite of her pizza slice. "Not that it stops them. Pigeons'll come in and go for the seeds in the mix. They're so used to humans they assume anything we toss out is meant for them." "Dumbasses."

Jinx looked up at the Master Shaman, bobbing his head up and down, "You tell it like it is, sister! Respect!"

[Witch]

Witch shook her head, a faintly abashed look on her features. "I haven't but don't take that for the good news it sounds like. I've been preoccupied with matters that have kept me from patrolling." There was no apology, but it was clear that she understood the failing.

As far as the lively conversation from the familiar, she mostly ignored it. Thirteen hadn't shown herself to be an idiot, though Witch hadn't really done much with her outside of these walls, and so she was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt for the moment on her companion. But that didn't mean she was going to engage.

Even if was tempting to ask for the bones should pigeon pie be on the menu...

[Salem]

Salem nods over to Chambers, "I plan on taking care of that soon, yes. Maybe not today though.." he says, glancing around the area. "I would definitely like to know what's going on. Would love to be of help, where I can," he adds. He'd been gone long enough, dealing with personal issues, now he was ready to help others.

"Much the same really. Surviving as it were." He didn't know Aurora all that well either. Perhaps that would change, but civility was still a good start.

He watched the Acanthus stare at him for a moment, a blush warming his cheeks before she dismisses her annoyance at him. He didn't deserve it.. too much. "Sounds good. I'll text you sometime soon and we can meet up and get things squared away." He nods and takes the offer of pizza. The muffins that he brought were more for everyone else and they tended to last long than a fresh would.

[Chambers]

Given Jinx was a familiar in addition to be a crow the Moros would be very surprised if the corvid did not come on top against a run of the mill or three. But the idea is still rather humorous and gets a light chuckle. "Well I don't know if pigeon pie is an it's any good but it has to be a better way of sourcing the main ingredient then a shotgun. I understand that can lead to buckshot in the mix." And those were not meant for consumption by anyone.

The air pods being used more like tiny speakers does make somewhat more sense. "Did Jinx come with a predisposition for rock music or is that something he has picked up?" More the anything curious about the behaviours displayed by the spirit, it is not everyday you get a chance to witness or well be made aware of such small but significant details.

Between lamps eyes, pigeons and whatever the crow seems like a handy investment just for its ability to collect stuff. "I don't know much about animals so forgive me if I am mistaken but is it true that pigeons are so lacking in survival instinct they will return to a place that was dangerous only moments ago if it clams down?" If so he could see that leading to a dead bird or to.

No judgement is sent Witch's way patrols of the city were ideal but not by any means a mandatory requirement. "Everyone I've spoken to has had a lot on their plate recently. Pay it no mind." They numbered six well soon to be seven again, keeping an eye on every inch of the city and dealing with the assorted problems would require mages much more powerful then them. "I hope these matters have gone well?" More polite then prying and not expecting much to be shared, if anything. But the question and unspoken offer were present.

A genial nod meets Salem's statement. "Good good, sooner the better in this instance and all that." But he goes quite when the topic of current affairs comes up. "After all the I's are dotted so to speak." Salem might be known but the hierarch was not about to start discussing Consilium matters with anymore who was not at this moment a member.
