V-day again, perhaps the day she should look forward to the most but given her luck well it was never a calm day, and seldom one with good results for that matter those seeking what she desired well they were not ideal to meet on this day and with no one to celebrate it with why bother to go through the efforts to try anything special?
Getting up early, and making sure to be at the gym by four in the morning instead. Fortunate that she had chosen a gym that never closed for members, not that it was exactly modern but granted whom frequented it well not like they needed much worry or that 24/7 gyms were uncommon either. Getting a proper pass in, waving to the few other early risers of the morning be it those there before their work shifts or just the ones whom could not sleep before getting a proper training pass in, showering and heading out for a patrol with her regular board, stopping by for a late breakfast at one of her more commonly visited diners, and over to the skatepark for an enjoyable time as her muscles keeps recovering from the morning pass. Letting the hours fly her by whilst clearing her mind, relieved there was nothing special planned for the day or that she wasn´t really needed, on standby yes but then again when was she not?
Creaking her neck with a kick of the board, and checking her phone with a soft smile at the awaiting cute message from Quinn, answering with words of encouragement.
That girl really needs to learn to be more assertive.
Heading back over towards the gym, changing and starting a mild warmup with a run on the treadmill, gloves on and over to the boxing bag with her regular motioning path of 2/1.
"Hey Rose"
Waving back to the man, not that many women frequented this gym sure they were a couple but the gender distribution were certainly not equally favored. Letting her punches land one after another, falling away as a hand almost touches her, making her spin around with raised fists.
"Hey chill Ella, chill, whats got you so worked up?"
Shaking her head with lowering fists to catch her breath.
”Sorry Rex, I got a bit lost there.”
"No worries, but hey shouldn´t you be out getting ready for a date tonight?"
Scoffing.
”Yeah no, sorry no luck this year.”
"Thats a shame, say me and some work buddies are going out for a drink to watch the game wanna come with."
”I don´t really drink.”
"They have virgin drinks, must be better than sitting alone, or are you scared of spending a night around the boys in blue?"
Raising her eyebrow.
”Sure why not, your brother coming along I heard MIL was a bit under the weather today.”
"Nah he´s home taking care of her, I take it things went well between you two then?"
”Yeah she´s a great instructor.”
"Good, we head out in about 90 sounds good to you?"
”Sounds good.”
Wrapping up her training pass, checking her phone with another small smile with a small scolding to Quinn that she needs to put herself out there more before saying good night, showering and changing to a more proper attire before heading over towards the sports bar to watch the game along with a few of his workmates some she could recognize from the gym, some new, making sure to only order virgin drinks and soda whilst laughing, cheering and fooling around as a number gets slipped into one order with a look from one of the guys.
"Pay up guys"
A unison of damns as she looks confused.
”What?”
"You caught a bunny, they are usually better at discerning but V-day does tend to cloud more than a few´s judgement."
Not looking any less confused by that.
”A bunny?”
About to hear an answer as Rex butts in.
"Hey let her enjoy it, Ill tell her next time I see her at the gym, now go Ella she´s far better company than any of these sad bunch."
Looking at the number, over at the boys and to the game which whilst not dull not exactly one she could claim to care about, then again what game mattered for someone with no interests in team sports?
”Well then I guess I will see ya boys.” Winking at them to get over towards the woman.
Chatting, laughing, playing into the flirtation until finding herself at the womans home to enjoy themselves after having retrieved her things. Having their fun and letting the woman fall asleep before getting up, getting dressed, taking her things and removing anything left behind as she sneaks out to never see her again.

Checking her phone with a good morning to Quinn as a soft smile dons her face, a bit sore but given the time a morning workout before heading back to the Circle to sleep only feeling right.
