Kylar listens as Priscus Schneider explains the issue. That is not good if there are hunters around, Kylar thought. Leaving a momentary pause before reaching into his coat pocket and pulling out a metal case, he flips it open and pulls out a business card. Offering the card to Priscus Schneider, "Here is all my contact information. It has my phone number, my Signal chat username and my email. Everything is private and secure so feel free to drop me any other specifics that you may deem necessary for me to know."

Kylar then returned the metal case to his pocket before continuing on, "So has this neighborhood watch been around long?"

The curiosity on what approach Priscus Schneider's would take to the questions posed to him was indulged, Jennifer observed for a moment.
“At the time that interested mortals were reported, there were no signs that there were an organized group or that these mortals were knowledgeable about our Condition.”
Jennifer states to Azoth. Dark eyes look meaningfully towards Priscus Schneider. The information was largely resting with Priscus Schneider and how he chose to reveal it was of interest to Jennifer. Jennifer did not wade into disclosure of facts. That was not her role as Seneschal and there should remain some respect for domain position. There were certain proper ways for such matters. Jennifer kept her opinions to herself as the topic was fully broached.

"There are complications due to the actions of the former Priscus." Jennifer states. Her Curse asserts itself, her voice slithering through the room. "There were a few detractors to the investigation. Yet those should be ironed out presently. One thing that is important is remaining vigilant and upholding the Masquerade at every moment in public. The Domain cannot afford to raise suspicions at this time. One must be mindful in our interactions. A single wrong move could light the Candle in a merely concerned Mortal. Another outcome could be to create a group of Hunters who are focused on the Domain."

It went without saying how disastrous that would be. Jennifer's eyes flicked back to Priscus Schneider, curious how he would proceed.

Mr. Waldof was an older gentleman with white hair, styled in a well-groomed fashion from the 40's. Dark grey expensive suit with amethyst cuff links and a matching tie bar were his accessories. The tie pattern was grey, silver and purple interlocking chains, well made.
“I made the statement in November that something is stirring up the Kine. One of my workers was handed a flyer to raise awareness. It looked a great deal like Priscus Carmen.” Mr. Waldorf stated from the fringes, looking over with interest to the gathering of three and Liam.

Otto felt his hand twitch slightly with irritation as the Beast urged him to lash out at Mr. Waldorf. He had to admit that, for the briefest of moments, he strongly considered it. But then, this was Elysium and such conduct was not only extraordinarily rude but contrary to the Prince's Laws. Nosy, noisy little man.

"The former Priscus is no longer among us and the woman in the video made no statements and took no actions that would immediately identify her as Kindred." He replied politely, although his eyes had not a trace of pleasantness as he looked at the newcomer. "Your point about the kine is well taken, but that is precisely why it is being investigated. We've already dealt with one recent threat to the Masquerade with the matter in the park, we will deal with this one now."

He turned back to Azoth, noting down the Mekhet's contact information for later. "Not terribly long. A few months, and until recently their conduct was annoying but innocuous. Awareness campaigns, making sure people had safe rides home, that sort of thing." If that had been the extent of their actions, the Ventrue would have been fine with just hunting a little more cautiously. Fate was seldom so kind.

Otto glanced at the Seneschal again, lips in a thin line as he considered what more to say. "I hope you'll understand that I don't mean to come off as coy." He said to Azoth. "I just prefer not to speak too openly about a matter that is actively being investigated. It wouldn't do the Domain any good to make statements of fact that later turn out to inaccurately reflect the truth. Especially in matters that concern the Masquerade." He didn't turn to look at Mr. Waldorf again, but it wasn't hard to intuit that Otto wasn't speaking only to the Shadow in front of him.

[Kylar Stern]

Kylar looked over as a new voice chimed in, calming his beast as he listened in to the discussion, he did not like what he was hearing but at the same time he did not want to address the man.

"I am curious about the cause of escalation." Kylar said to Otto while keeping an eye on the newcomer,

Jennifer glanced at the Ventrue who had been here for some time.

"I know that you have been here for some time, Mr. Waldorf."

Jennifer opened with a neutral phrase that could be a compliment. Jennifer respected the ancillae's steadfastness. Although I would prefer if he did not point out the shortcomings of the Domain officials where anyone could hear that. Jennifer thought. I disagreed with much of what that Clan leader did, yet she was devoted to her clan's betterment. One could not make a case that she was inattentive, or lazy.

"The current Daeva Priscus has a mind for limiting theatrics that I appreciate. One cannot be a Breather. "
Jennifer uses a term to allude that flights of emotion were not welcomed in Elysium.

"A good choice." Jennifer states to Priscus Schneider.

"Perhaps this discussion should be tabled until we have privacy. There are other things that could be discussed in a public forum as I am sure that there is general knowledge that you are interested in."

[Seryna]

The Ventrue, Mr. Waldorf, makes a polite nod and stepped further away. He is now beyond the other three kindred for the polite conversation. He walks a bit around the room.

Otto glanced after the retreating Lord, wondering briefly if he would have to assert himself as Priscus more firmly in the future. He nodded at Azoth as he shifted focus back to the Shadow. "Believe me, we all want to know exactly why things have turned out the way they have, if only to prevent it from happening again." His tone softened somewhat as he continued. "But as the Seneschal has said, let us return to this in a more private setting. I promise to speak a bit more freely once we're not in public." The Priscus nodded politely. "And thank you for volunteering your assistance."

"Perhaps a more mundane topic, then." He said with a look at Jennifer. "I apologize if you've already entertained this question and I simply wasn't there to hear it, but what brought you to Sacramento specifically?" Otto's tone was polite. "And to be fair, I'll give you the short version of my own story: I was tasked by the Archbishop of Newark with establishing a more stable influence for the Sanctum in the Domain."

Jennifer observes with interest as the topic is pivoted.
“It should be known that the former Reeve Helen Kingsley has lost her Acknowledgement. It is so very important to respect the Alder Princes decrees, and one Priscus’ rules."
Jennifer states. “Having a few members who take matters of importance seriously does mean that we will all need to be more attentive.” A look between each. “Care to communicate important matters should be made.”

[Kylar Stern]

Kylar eyed the man as he left and returned back to the conversation. "Agreed, we shall continue in private." Then when presented with the question, "I have come to Sacramento because my sire sent me here to establish a branch of our business here. And though there is some established in the southern part of the state, we have no presence here or some of the more northern west coast states. He is hoping that the branch I establish here could eventually become a hub for the area as well as the surrounding states."

Kylar then listened closely to both the Priscus backstory and then the announcement from the Seneschal. "I do not think I know that name. But thank you for the heads up, is there anything we need to be wary of?"
