The Daeva had been one of the more assertive Kindred in the Domain to involve herself in the Final Death of a Kindred. She was the only one currently aware of the precise bracelet present on the deceased corpse as belonging to Ms. Mariposa Sanchez. Alicia now possesses a key piece of evidence in the key card found beneath the body. Alicia is currently driving around, awaiting being contacted to further assist. What is she thinking? The current situation could prove to be very dangerous. Who had the knowledge to cause the Final Death of a Kindred?

Glancing up towards the skies, thankful for the season and the extended hours of darkness it brought with them, unsure of when or if she would be contacted nor what movements it would force on them. Glancing around before stopping at a gas station prioritizing self serve and no Kine interaction, making sure to drive around until having one with no lines or at the very least minimal ones to be ready to quickly depart and not get hold up. Stepping of with a look to her phone, noting the hour and how much time she would have before needing to prioritize shelter from the infernal star.

Minutes tick by. Alicia hears the sound of a police siren blaring nearby. She is able to realize that the sound is in the direction that Mariposa's corpse had been witnessed. The night ticks by as the sky continues to darken.

As far as Alicia can tell, she attracts the normal amount of attention one can expect for a Daeva who possesses her Gifts. There is no absolutely quiet corner of a gas station. People turn to look at her as they go about hurrying to get gas or some cheap food. This is but a way stop in thier night and she is the brightest thing there.

Looking over the key card in her purse without taking it out, then up with her phone to check for an address as she moves her MC away from the pumps. Checking out the hotel along with any basic information a simple google search could tell of the hotel in question, making a check for the time to be certain she could manage to get there and to safety before preparing to head over for a light check whilst waiting for her summons.

Eyes flickering towards the police sirens, knowing it meant that any chance of returning there to gain some insights from the crime scene were all but impossible, still the hotel itself might hold some answers as she begins her drive over.

The Google search reveals the Citizen Hotel, of the Autograph collection downtown. The local web sites rate this as a 4.1. There is a Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel that has an average score of 3.7 in reviews. Alicia could certainly visit one and return to her Haven before the sun rises.

Whilst digging to deep would likely be frowned upon so would some basic knowledge at least prove beneficial as she drives towards the hotel, making sure to circle the roads around it a little to familiarize herself with the terrain before parking outside and taking a couple of pictures with her phone.

Starting with walking around the area with sharpened senses of sight, scent and hearing, wanting to get a lay of the land without missing anything, doubts that the hotel itself would prove to be a danger but if they were dealing with someone who had not just accidentally sent one of them to their final death so would every bit of caution be potentially beneficial. Although why would the woman have a keycard to this place? She had a safe haven for their coterie, where they were gathered, what had drawn her to this hotel or why had the keycard been left with her?

Alicia, as far as she knows, is not being followed.
Alicia is able to take as many photographs of the hotel and surrounding area as she likes.

As Alicia moves around the area, she hears the whosh - whosh - whosh sound. The sound emanates from about fifteen to twenty feet behind her. When Alicia looks, she does not see anything. Yet if she pauses or stops her movement, the sound stops.

After a few moments, Alicia can see a figure of a man about fifteen feet behind her in the direction of the parking lot. Yet as Alicia's eyes focus, her Beast flares. This man is a Kindred. Yet not a Kindred that Alicia has seen before at Court. BP 2

Throwing her eyes around, listening intently trying to determine where the sound is coming from until feeling the gripping sense of her beast roaring, pulling away, frozen in place for a moment as she forces blood through her body knowing contact with the Kine might be nigh.

Steeling her breath, hesitation circling her mind for but a fraction of a second, one look away, one look towards the hotel as hurried steps quickly guides her over there with an attempt to enter, hide, hide amongst the one place certain to have Kines, where they would not just be in empty streets until she could safely get back to her bike and leave.

Alicia moves towards the hotel. She goes into the hotel. The Kindred remains where he stands.

An employee, a woman at the front desk, notices Alicia entering the building.
"Hello!" She calls in a forcibly cheerful voice.
As Alicia attempts to hide in an open yet empty hotel lobby, the falsely cheerful expression is replaced by concern. The hotel desk employee stares at Alicia.
