Eternal Court

The Nox Populi is an upscale experience that will take Sacramento nightlife to a whole new level.

In the heart of downtown Sacramento there is a place of intrigue, excitement and entertainment. The modern flare of this venue is host to exclusive parties. The seduction of this establishment may take you away as you drink, dance and socialize. There are private services available upon request. The best DJ’s in town are in line to play a wide variety of music. Some of you may dine…as long as you have your VIP pass.

However the Kindred arrive they are discreetly met and led to the back of the club. The space downstairs is decorated in dark, rich woods and expensive furniture. There's a coat room that will also hold one's 'unmentionables'; namely, weapons, at the foot of the stairs. There are also private areas, dark, and furnished with soft couches, as well as meeting rooms with conference tables and chairs, and an area with several televisions. The Court area is decorated with long black and brown silken drapes cascading from floor to ceiling. Draped in elegant bunches and gathered into valances across door frames and between supporting pillars; the lighting is intentionally low, but without the pulse of the music from above, the place has the feel of a sepulchre.

The common area circles the Court proper, and it becomes apparent that this is not decorated for a single evening. Small symbols note areas for Kindred only that branch off of the Commons, which will be necessary once those Kine privileged enough to see behind the Masquerade filter in: ghouls, herd members, or even devotees. The furniture setting is familiar now: a set of elegant chairs, all dark wood and red leather, arranged in a circle. The baroque lighting leaves the corners of the Elysium commons in deep.

Another evening; another Danse. For some it will their first, for some it shall be their last. After all, this is the Prince's Elysium, and subject to the Laws of the Domain. ¨

Eternal Court is not a singular event. Always open and in constant motion, a compression of the comings and goings of Kindred within Elysium throughout the nights. As such, Eternal Court is also never truly empty; this can include 'faceless masses' of Kindred beneath notice, ghouls, herd members, devotees, or even officials in their offices.

Jennifer entered Court, wearing a formal black dress tailored for her frame. Liam walked two steps behind his Regnant. The two move to coat check, where the black silk scarf is unpinned from a flesh colored scarf. Both scarves and pins, which are placed in a pin box, are checked.

Jennifer walked with Lady - like grace into Elysium proper. The removal of the scarves has revealed a scar on one side of her neck and shoulder. It appears as though a misformed mouth has torn flesh from the neck and shoulder.
Jennifer wore an emerald ring on one hand. A chocolate diamond and white diamond ring on another hand.
Jennifer moved to a table, took a seat. She regarded the room for a moment and placed a well made leather journal on the table. A fine pen is produced and Jennifer begins to consult notes in earlier pages.

Mr. Jake is absent from Court.

Ms. Stacey Clarke is present and dressed in a rose gold dress that hits at the calf, with 3/4 sleeves. She wears a gold chain bracelet.

The Daeva is walking around the outskirts of Court, a worried expression on her face.

The Seneschal looks up as she notes the arrivals of other Kindred. The other Kindred prove to be members of the faceless masses, and no one of note. She notes the distress of the Daeva.
Yet she was not the Daeva Priscus and there were other Kindred who had roles where they were to take the initiative to investigate such matters. Jennifer returned to her notebook, making some relevant notes on the current happenings. She would likely step out in a moment. A Seneschal's duties required a lot of time.

Some time passes. Jennifer is content to study her own observations and musings, unaware that she remains the only Kindred of note. Jennifer finishes writing a thought on one of the main issues on the past ghouls of note being that they were limited to untrustworthy individuals.
Jennifer clarifies: The unknown and duplicitous nature of the Daeva Kindred that the Ghouls were attached to were the reason that they were poorly integrated. I would have liked to have studied the Daeva Family's affects on a ghoul and their condition. Jennifer writes. Perhaps a time will come where I will study the Kindred and ghoul condition and how it differs across Kindred Families.
Jennifer glanced about. As no one had deemed Eternal Court a priority, Jennifer placed a green velvet ribbon to mark her place in he notebook. Jennifer moved to the coat check and carefully pinned her scarf to the flesh colored scarf, ensuring the Masquerade. Jennifer collected her item and Liam and departs Elysium.

Late, so very very late in the night, having worried she should not make an appearance, the recent event still lightly spoking her and not having wanted to draw the attention wrong. Yet after a long time at long last stepping into the club, having taken a long walk and two different cab rides to get here.

Dressed up in a dress of red and black, raven dark hair styled far less intricately. Walking the familiar steps into the evening of the night, skipping by the coat room never really taking anything to hang off, knowing all to well it would not be needed.

Taking in the relative emptiness of the room, a bit surprised that so few were here, knowing why she had kept away but so used to at least see a few more than this here.

Giving a nod to those present before steering her feet towards her cousin, with a final nod offered to her in accordance to her status.

Kindred judge one another by how they embrace the Kindred culture. The open display of emotion, such as distress and emotional displays of fear, were judged harshly. Some kindred would delight in having the Kindred who behave with emotion to face criticism, such as using the Cacophony to do so.
The Daeva who looked so emotional had already attracted the eyes of Rebecca McIntyre and Anthony Hoyle, who were sitting in opposite areas of Elysium. The rest of the room seemed dark and quiet, the kindred who normally scheme are elsewhere.

"Yes. Something is very wrong." The pretty Daeva says too loudly.
"My coterie mates... something is wrong with them. They did not return to our shared Haven. I fear the worst!"

'Fashionably late' might have been a bit of a stretch for Otto's arrival to Court. In truth, he had planned to skip the crowded venue that evening and had only stopped by Elysium to make sure that there were no pending pieces of correspondence waiting for him. If nothing else, it would have saved a few drops of Vitae by not forcing him to put up the pretenses of false life. However, something gave way and the Ventrue found himself walking towards the most exclusive part of the Nox Populi. It never hurts for a Priscus to put in an appearance, even if only for a moment.

Soon enough the wave of aggression that accompanied exposure to other Kindred washed over him. With slightly clenched teeth and a quiet, mostly suppressed hiss, the Priest managed to stride into Court without much incident. He scanned the room, mildly surprised at the lack of familiar faces. I must not have been the only one planning on taking a raincheck. However, he soon caught sight of the Clan Daeva Priscus in conversation with another.

With an even pace, he strode over to where Alicia was conversing with an unknown Kindred and nodded as he approached, formally bowing to Alicia once he got closer as befit her status. "Priscus Silvers." He said simply. He had briefly considered just addressing her as 'Alicia', but even if there weren't many notable individuals around, the faceless masses still had ears. He nodded in recognition to the Kindred he didn't recognize before cocking an eyebrow. "Am I interrupting?"
