There was truth to that to be sure. "Only when we are humbled the consequences tend to be more dire." Backlash, paradox, unravelling, and more followed in the wake of a mages ego. And who could really say they were above such things. "Well I could try but I haven't cast divinations for myself." He had learnt to because the order needed it. "I want all the things I have wanted since I knew I wanted them only I have put them aside and focused on what is needed." He is not bitter about it each experience had been rewarding in its way, but anyone who casts themselves aside for the sake of a cause surely suffers. "I don't know if I would say higher calling I have no great destiny wrapped about me Guru just the results of my labours." Well no destiny he was aware of.
Witnessing a murder would in most circumstances override near any positive experience for the Moros but the point stands and he certainly knows not the minds of cultures of whoever else might have been present. "Well it made a fine mess for us regardless." Because as with all public violations of secrecy it had. As for the politics. "No. For the reason that whoever comes after me needs to earn the place as I did, to convince others they are right for the task which might take a little time, forcing the issue before its ready can do more harm them good." Quick solutions did not always stand the test of time or pressure better to make the right call once then the wrong one twice or more.
The lessons learnt the necessary information imparted and the second mystagogue started on his path through the ladder of mysteries. "I am glad to makes more sense to you, I look forward to seeing what comes of it." And with that his duty for the day done. Standing he gathering his things about him. "Congratulations Guru, I will see you around, be well." And unless there is any final urgent burning issues the Moros will leave.
Thank for the scene it was alot of fun!
