Hanging up the phone, the Shadow would look to the mortal in her company.
"Fuck, I mean... who the hell was that guy?" she asked, "I mean, how did he... I saw like two other guys on the ground."
The mortal is shaking. She has drawn her knees up to her chest and her hands rest atop of her knees. One of her knuckles has torn flesh, the blood beading on the pale skin.
"We were parking." She says quietly. "My boyfriend and I. And then he was gone. It was just so fast, I turned over and the driver side door was open. I felt the car rock. And he screamed." A tear rolled down her face.
"I don't know this pyscho."
Benny listened as the woman spoke.
So she doesn't know him. Good.
However, the alarm bell was going off when the woman spoke of speed. Celerity perhaps?
"How did he..." she started before pausing to rephrase the question. Benny knew the woman would be asked by police about the incident. She needed to know more, so she soldiered on, "Did he have a knife?"
The woman gave a quiet sob. She wiped her eyes and seemed to consider Benny's question.
"I looked over to the open door. I saw that man bent over R.J. I just saw his head right next to R.J. I didn't see a knife."
Benny nods, breathing deeply.
"Shit... okay. So he really was just some kinda psycho. Do you wanna head to report now or do you need a minute?" Benny asked, "I'm Bayley, by the way."
"Uhhh. Report."
"Yes, we need to. That guy seemed... too strong. I am worried about those guys. I am Jessie.
Thanks, Bayley. You saved me."
Jessie suddenly became alarmed as she looked around the car.
"Did anyone call 911?" She seemed infused with urgency and panic.
"I just called someone, remember?" she said, doing her best to calm Jessie down.

The Kine seemed to understand that what she witnessed was strange, but would the police see it that way? Clearly the woman was in hysterics...
Given how little the woman saw, it seemed clear enough to the Shadow that this woman was not a threat, but an unfortunate bit of cattle caught in the crossfire.
"We're on our way, just... hang tight, okay?"
Benedikta's intent is to deliver Jessie to the police station and then leave.
"We just... we left him..." She appears to be very rattled and emotional. The young woman blinks as she processes Benny's words. "Yes. I... I can't believe this. We're on our way to the station?"
She verifies with Benny. She turns in her seat, looking behind the vehicle. She remains frightened.
The police station comes into view. It appears to be a normal evening with several officers in view behind the double door entry, a young officer in uniform standing at the desk.
Pulling up, Benny comes to a stop. "Alright... we're here," she said before taking a deep breath, "Go on in. You got this, Jessie."
The woman appeared to be a bit more composed than when she had fled the aggressor with Benny. Her hair was in a mess, she was quietly weeping.
"Thank you for helping me." She states to Benny. Her gaze is earnest.
The woman exits Benny's vehicle and walks hurriedly towards the police station, hugging herself.
What does Benny do now?
