Matt grunts and stares at the spirit note for a long second. Then he looks up at the others.

"I gotta go." He says.

"Really go. Hunt business."

He looks at Nathaniel, "You can have the Hummer. Keys are in it."

He looks down at Emily. "Sorry, Munchkin. Tell Alpha for me, I'm Called to a different Hunt."

Matt looks at Chris and says, "I'll tell Felix 'hi' for you." Then leaves the Hisil and shape shifts to a big Wolf and starts running South.

Sorry to be abrupt; I am leaving the venue for now for RL balance reasons. It's been fantastic playing werewolf with all of you! Thank you!

Emily smiles her most charming smile. <<We can trade in kind - information for information. Or we can trade in Essense, though I don't think that interests you right now, does it?>>

Let them know you know enough, and they'll assume you know more than you do.

Then Matt's voice cuts through.... and he's gone. "Wait... what?"

How is this working together?

She groans internally. Hopefully she could still hold this together.

Coyotes have been moving further and further into the city It could be because they are being offered sustenance by the urban environment and the spirits that rule there.

"In...In..In...Information you say? What information could you have? Ask your question and I will give you the price for the answer."

Deeper into the store, where the countertop is dimly lit, seems to come a pulsing, a reverberation of sound that is just out of the range to be heard. The vibration of it thrums gently each time it impacts each of you. How-may-I-frustrate-you-today doesn't seem to notice.

"Ahh" Yep clear as mud. Chris can only nod as Matt is called to other business. Maybe Felix ran into deepshit somewhere. Which leaves Chris as the sole non-Crescent.... Letting things settle for a moment the Talon listens to Emily and the spirit then looks down the store searching for whatever is making that deep bass feeling.

"Either of you feeling that? Not sure how much I like it."

Mundane events forcing the Shadow to adjust, and all the denizens within... Nothing the Uratha hadn't had to deal with in the past, with plenty of cautionary tales. They'd just need to stick together aaaaand...

...Matt had business to attend to. That was fine, they could still do this. Just had to be more cautious. Be more willing to make a tactical retreat... Oh! Chris had asked.

His explanation started slow, gradually ramping up in speed as the crescent went through it."Coyote spirits are becoming more common in cities- no doubt an unintended consequence of the herd. That means any we encounter here... They might be more willing to side with Urban spirits, heck the spirits that might be feeding them for all we know. They could even resent nature choirs for not being able to support them as well. They'd probably be neutral at best, but at worst-?!" He bit his lip. At worst, they'd have another enemy- but that train of thought was interrupted by the reverberating sound.

"...We should leave soon. This doesn't feel good..." Of all the places. They didn't scope things out, didn't... They didn't seem to be at any advantage here. Story of their lives, right? Luna Above, Guide us and what was CAUSING that pulsing?!

Nathaniel started to slowly creep closer to what he thought was the source, trying to stay aware of his surroundings, looking for anything that might explain what it was. Emily was negotiating with it- good. Was it the cause? Or was something worse on it's way?

She looks over her shoulder. "Guys? You wanna pay attention here?"

Easy in words - hard to put into a post. Sorry everyone, I'll try and speed up posting things.

The tablet screen grins, "O-o-o-o-oh! Exciting. I can provide such information for a f-f-f-f-fee. Would you like an additional line with that." As How-May-I-Frustrate-You-Today seems to be winding up into a sales pitch, the pulse swings up into a crescendo and begins pounding rapidly, the pulsating light changes colors with the rhythm. A half dressed woman wearing a cat ear headband, glow stick necklaces, and sucking on a pacifier throws her arms and head around wildly dancing up towards the group, seeming to have simply faded in from somewhere behind the counter ahead. As she nears it becomes apparent that she holds a phone in one hand.

The dancing stops, she gives Frustrate a sneer with vacant eyes before holding up the phone to Emily.

The screen is pulsating in rhythm to the thumbing vibration, the screen flashing with the lights. "It's for you" The voice that emits from the woman sounds synthesized and auto-tuned. Frustrate looks away chastised, the tablet now showing only the back three quarters of its head. The answer button seems to grow brighter and brighter with each pulse. The spirits go silent and grow still, seeming to freeze. The overhead lights stop pulsing, and the thrumming abruptly stops, the only sound and motion and the vibration of the blackberry in the woman's hand as it rings.

A frown that had been growing deepens as Nathaniel lays out how it could get even worse. Chris's retort never sounds off as Emily cuts in and brings attention back to the task at hand. Fighting coyote spirits can wait for later. Then the woman..spirit..woman? appears and offers up a phone to Emily. Taking a moment to look over the being Chris fails to see what is going on around them. Then as everything stops except for the ringing there's a moment of panic.

With calm, and to careful, steps Chris moves to stand besides and a step behind Emily. Then shifts to watch the rest of the place and fights back a toothy grin. Calm before the storm is more like it.

Sis called them over, seems like they were going to get some info after all. Of course, then some rave-spirit or such appears. Was that what was causing the noise?... Wait.

"How much you wanna bet this building used to have a party place nearby, herd-side?" Or vice versa, though the attire and the sneer it gave to the frustrating salesman...

Or perhaps the building itself used to be a party place? Or was there one over there now? Many options. If he'd been able to see over before he'd have known for certain... Maybe that's how the spirit got information? Unlikely allies to be sure on paper. Though the Party Spirit didn't seem quite happy with it, if that was the arrangement.

He joins Chris near to his sister. "Think we could let that go to voicemail?..." A terrible joke to break the sudden silence.

Emily glances from frustrates to the cute glowing figure, and delicately takes the Phone. "Uh, thanks."

She puts it tentatively to her ear.

"Uh, hello? Clarion Call. Sacramento's very own Uratha. Defenders of the innocent, protectors of the weak and all-around good guys?"
