"Alright people, let's go get stuffed. I know a good Chinese take out place, great Beef Chow Mien. After some dinner we can get to the important stuff."
Matt begins to make his way out of the alley and waits for the group to follow before leading them off to the place he'd hunted up a few months back.

Elektra follows along behind them, keeping her head down and face hidden as best as she can, letting the enveloping men's clothes do most of the work in hiding her.
Even though she isn't as big of a name as Tony Hawk or Shawn White and there aren't likely to be many people that would recognize her face dressed as she was at this time of night, she didn't feel like taking any chances being seen with random people in her still currently relatively vulnerable state.

The wolves grab take out and good to his word Matt buys for the new girl and the other two experienced Uratha. They somehow find a private place and after a few bites of his chicken fried rice the Elodoth realizes that it's time to begin "the talk".
"So first things first, I'm Matt and like you I'm a Werewolf." He was aware of how insane it sounded. "There are two worlds. The one you've lived every day of your life in is one of them, the other is a place of concepts and spirits separated from the mundane world by what we call the Gauntlet. Our role is to watch over the Gauntlet and make sure that the two worlds stay in balance."

Chris lets Matt talk, busy noshing his plate full of BBQ Pork, General Tso's chicken and Egg Rolls. He nods where appropriate or necessary.
So much better than hot pockets.

Elektra takes a few bites of her chicken fried rice as she soaks in what Matt says, kind of still in a slight state of shock, if only culturally speaking. "Elektra," she offers her name. "So, spirits... As in, like, Jamaican voodoo or American Indian rituals that call on the aid of spirits?"

"Similar. Think of Spirits as the representation of animals, places, objects, concepts and so on. Each side is a reflection of the other, so what happens in this world has an effect on the other and vice versa."
He pauses for a second to let her catch up and take a drink of his bottle of coke.
"Sometimes spirits try to influence this side for their own ends and sometimes human stupidity messes up the ecosystem on the other side. Our mission to stop that from happening by keeping a natural balance between both sides." Munch, munch on an egg roll.
"We do call on the aid of spirits at times, but they're not always willing to help. We seemed to be considered the police by some spirits and you know how some people feel about them."

"Hmmm," the skater girl says with another mouthful of her meal. Not coming up with any further questions on the current topic, she recalls something said earlier as she swallows. Nodding towards Christian, she asks Matt, "He mentioned earlier something about me being a hunter..? And he and I transformed even though the moon wasn't full... How?"

"Wef arf No Moomfs" Chris Swallows. "Irraka, we are hunters and scouts. Also, not a curse and not a movie. Peeps can shift when they want, and you can learn to do it only part way."
|

"I see... What exactly do we hunt and scout..?" she asks a little uneasily. Sure, he had just said 'not a movie' and they all were in human forms at the moment, but the idea that werewolves were monstrous beings who go after humans still ran circuits around in her head.
