Paradox, the Abyss, and You

I've noticed before that Paradox has not always been rolled. It needs to be, and it is very important that it is rolled before the spellcasting roll.
Please note if you burn Mana to mitigate, and don't forget that Paradox successes subtract from the subsequent spellcasting roll.

Huh, I have always been under the impression that Paradox successes soaked as damage do not subtract from Spell successes.
But I actually prefer it your way, so no argument from me.
