Walking out of the museum Rune thinks on what he has learned, while it was not much it was helpful. He now has an idea of what may be going on, though it may sound impossible it is still more to go on then he had. The main thing was that he now knew he had someone around he could trust and that made him feel better.
While walking down the street aimlessly he realized he still needed to find a hotel before it gets too late. Hailing a cab he gets in and tells the driver to take him to the closest hotel.

The cabby nods, and in a few minutes and a few dollars, Rune finds himself outside a rather rustic looking hotel. Nothing to fancy but not bad looking.

Grabbing his bag Rune heads into the main entrance and gets him self a room. The room is not much but it will serve for a temporary base of operations. Setting his stuff down Rune pulls out a notebook and start writing down what he learned today.
After settling in he decides to head out again to get to know the area a little better.

The area near Rune proves to be a quiet and unassuming sort of place. It is fairly clean looking and seems very...quiet. A few blocks takes Rune to a fairly large parking lot that seems almost empty.
Almost imperceptibly fast, a fog rolls through the area so thick that one can hardly see. What is worse is that somewhere in the distance, Rune thinks he hears...screams. And then...POWER. A resonance of considerable proportion.
Just as suddenly, the fog clears and there is a man standing on the other side of the parking lot. He is slightly stooped, and is wearing a coat, hat and gloves that carefully conceal his appearance.
His voice is thick and there is a hint of a tremble in it.
"Rune, I presume?"

Cursing himself for being so careless Rune silently tries to collect himself, quickly casting Supernal Vision

"Yes I am. and who might you be?" he replies while taking a few steps closer trying to get a better look at this newcomer.

The whirling eddies of power that stream off the figure are almost blinding at first. Picking them apart quickly, Rune sees a collection of powerful mind spells that he has never seen the like of, and an equally insane collection of swirling and twisting space spells floating around this man. However, the actual spells themselves are incomprehensible to Rune.
The man looks at Rune and says, "I am the last figment of this cities imagination that won't go away. Who I am is unimportant for the time being. Why I am here, however, is of grave importance. The time is fast approaching when every mage in this city will be wiped away again. This time however, the intent shall be true, and the end will be worse."

Rune stands silent for a few moment taking in what the man said. Rune would like nothing more then to shout out question after question but something tells him the mysterious man won't stay long so he thinks to himself for a moment carefully picking the most useful question to ask "I see, can you tell me what this anchor is?"

For a moment, the figure looks pained, but it recovers quickly.
"No, I cannot. Much has been lost, even to me. However, all will be lost if the Anchor is not stripped from those who sit in the seats of power."
Suddenly, the figure looks left to right and sighs. "It looks like the hounds are almost upon us. You must return now. Do not speak of what I have told you unless you implicitly trust the person you tell it to. It will be worse for you otherwise."
There is a sudden shift in the mind magic swirling about the figure and without warning, Rune awakens, slumped over his bed. Before he can even contemplate how he got here however, there is a loud knocking on the door. Just as suddenly, his Supernal Vision reveals that powerful space magic was only moments ago worked in his area.

"I may be in over my head..." Rune grumbles to himself as he gets up to the sound of knocking. He walks to the door deep in thought, the anchor has to be some powerful magical artifact and Dr. Primoria is probably the best person to talk to about the.. but the warning from the mysterious man makes him hesitate.
Feeling a little paranoid he looks out the peep hole to see who is at the door before answering it.

Standing on the other side of the peep hole is a man who looks...on the edge. His unsmiling eyes seem to peer back at Rune with a very disgruntled glare. He is wearing a fairly long coat, and his brown hair off sets his darker brown hair strikingly. If Rune had to guess, the man already knows who is behind the door.

Shit not the gaurdians Rune thought to himself as he smiled and moved to allow the man entry. "Of course, come on in." As th man entered Rune closed the door behind him."So what do the gaurdians want with someone as insgnifigant as myself? " Rune gave the man an innocent smile.

As the man walked in, he didn't say anything at first. He just...sniffed the air. He circles around the room, looking for...something. Finally he turns to Rune.
"It would appear that you have been here all afternoon, Rune. Is that the case?"

Niles locks eyes with Rune, and if ever there has been a man with murder in his eyes, this man is him. His voice however, is measured and calm.
"Yes Rune, there is a reason. Sit down."
There is a moment in which Rune is almost positive he is about to die. It can't be this moment, but it may be soon.

As he sits down he makes a quick mental note of the closest means of escape. Giving himself a moment to calm down he looks at the man trying to avoid lengthy eye contact "Well, how can I help you Mr. Niles?"

He says too himself but making sure he is loud enough for Niles to here, " I remember writing down some notes and then next thing I know I wake up to you knocking. I didn't even think about it but maybe... do you think he was looking for something?" Rune figured mixing truth in would help and he didn't even need to fake his fearful reaction.

Again Rune was reminded why he hates gaurdians, nothing gets past them. "I doubt that would be necessary, I'm sure if what you say is true then ge would want me to remember. So this memory loss must be temporary, if you give me your a way to reach you I will contact you immediately when it returns." Rune watches the man half expecting a knife. If you don't mind me asking, why do the guardians want him?"
