This was awful. The Mysterium and the Ladder backing out of Sacramento? Arrows in charge? Worst of all, one of the only sensible people in charge is dead, which was a sadness she was having trouble shaking.
Ruby sets down her worn Bible and gets out of bed. She's been awake for at least an hour now, restless but weary at the same time.
She still needed to call in and rent an extra van as soon as the place opened. It occurred to her that she still wasn't sure how many people would be on the dig team. Gathering up her things, she heads to the museum to meet them.
