Kutya'i normally wears sandals 'cause they're easy to slip out of.
I picked the name Kutya'i 'cause its a spirit from Cahuilla mythology, which is what the character's been studying with his mentor before play started.

So Kutya'i is a mischievous nocturnal spirit of wind, and it steals clothing. Since the character isn't a Master of Matter, he's had to steal clothing from unsuspecting campers more than once.
