As he exited the restaurant Rune decided that it was a decent day for a walk. He had the address to the funeral home so it shouldn't be too hard to find, if worst comes to worst he could just as well ask for directions. He began to walk and then remembered Archies bad luck with a few muttered words and put on his ephemeral armor

It's a long way to walk. Rune realizes after asking that he'd be better off taking a bus down and walking from the nearest stop.
Stepping off the bus, he finds himself in near a major intersection. Businesses nearby are noticeably less friendly than those closer to homes. A few short minutes of walking later and he sees the ugly shape of Brown & Cutter Funeral Home.
It's functional, grim, and its mottled bricks would do little to comfort the families and friends of the deceased.

As he comes upon the funeral home Runed realized he had no plan askingWho have you been selling bodies to would not get him anywhere but kicked out.
He stops close to the building and looks it over with his supernal vision

Nothing useful catches Rune's Supernal gaze.
A beat up station wagon pulls up, passing Rune and turning in to the parking lot. The door pops open with a creak and a somberly dressed man steps out. He briefly glances at Rune with a face full of aching pain, and turns towards the main entrance.
The door rings as if this was some convenience store and not a place for the dead or mourning. The man disappears inside.

Rune waits for a few minutes and makes his way up to the door letting go of his supernal vision he quickly cast Sense life.

Two living presences are in the front waiting area. A woman seated behind a low reception desk, and the man Rune saw earlier. He appears to be sitting in a small waiting area, uncertain, despondent, and exhausted. The room itself is devoid of ambient living energies, a pervading and unwelcome smell of chemical sterilizers wafts into Rune's nostrils. Cold tile patterns the floor, and the fluorescent lights flicker with an unhealthy glow.
"Hello sir," the woman looks up and readjusts her cheap rhinestone studded glasses, taking great care not to get her elaborately tacky earrings caught in their beaded safety string.
"You must be here for the identification. My sincere condolences sir, Mr Cutter will be with you shortly if you take a seat." Her wrinkled jowls flap dispassionately as she speaks, and then she is lost again to the crossword puzzle she hides beneath paperwork.

Confused at first Rune decided to go with it and see how far this could take him. "Thank you" He said as he took a seat.
He looked around the room as he waited and wondered if he should tell John. Nah, this is a simple task no need to bother him for this one He thought to himself and continued to wait

Rune waits for 15 minutes in arms reach of the trashiest magazines the mortal world can produce, outside of England anyway. As he waits the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end, it occurs to him that it would be a grim sort of spirit who lives in a such a place of stale death.
And then the side door swings open and reveals a hallway of bright, sterile white and an elderly man dressed in a smart gray suit with dazzling cuff links and several thick golden rings.
"Huh, you don't look like the usual guy now do you."

Well this man looks a bit too well off for this line of work Rune stood up and nodded to the man, as his mind raced for an idea.
"There have been some complications on his part and so I have come in his place." he gives the man a stern look as he attempted to look in control.

Cutter looks Rune in the eye for a moment, then motions for him to follow into the back.
"Sure, this way please."
He steps back into that bright hall and turns the corner, down a hallway and through a set of double doors.

As he followed the man through the double doors Rune payed close attention to his sense life, this man obviously made good money off of selling bodies and if he saw through Runes ruse he would probably do anything to keep his secret safe.

They arrive in the cold room.
Cutter steps around the other side of a shrouded body atop a steel table. He waits until the door swings closed and pulls the cloth back just a little.
His expression questioning, Cutter whispers "This one's not exactly like the others. For a minute, I thought it might have been something else, especially since Locke hasn't mentioned anything. But here you are, and I'm not about to start asking questions."

Cutter seems a little uncomfortable answering the question.
"Well. This guy is dry, like the others. But it's not just exsanguination though, other fluids are also fairly drained. It's like he died from thirst from the inside out. Absolutely unlike the one that came in 6 months ago."
The cloth swishes back to conceal the cadaver.
"Do you know when can we be expecting Mr Locke? We don't like the night staff to run into him, so it's better off if we send everybody home when he shows up."

"Mr. Locke did not inform me of the time he would be arriving, if I get word then I will pass it on to you." Rune bends over and examines the body, it was a bit odd for him most bodies he saw in his work had been long dead but a fresh body was a whole different thing.

Rune inspects the face of the body, noticing that the skin is sunken and dried out. The pallid color of the body does seem to suggest that the fluids have been drained.
"What do you mean take it?" Cutter's look becomes concerned. "We haven't done that for..." He pauses for a moment.
"I'm sorry, who did you say you were?"

Shit! Think Rune think. Rune cursed himself then an idea hit him.
"You may call me Mr. Niles, are you sure none were taken by him? If that is the case it will make less complications and I do hate complications," Rune was never too good at talking with humans so he imagined this man was an out of control spirit and looked used that thought to keep his stern expression from slipping
