Roberts pulls into an open spot alongside a broken meter. His partner for the night is waiting for him sitting on a bus bench.
She gets up and makes her way to Doc's car. "Hey. I'm Maria. You wanna take your car, or mine?"
It's hard not to stare at the burn, even though she takes pains to try and conceal it with a scarf and her hairdo.

"We're taking my car." She rasps. "Come on."
She wears a puffy black winter coat with fake fur at the nape and wrists. A pair of durable boots peek out from her functionally cut blue jeans.
The clunky hunk of junk looks like it couldn't possibly run, until it purrs into action with the turn of her key.
"Gotta make a pass by the bookstore first," Maria grumbles.

The car swings into the parking lot. It idles and stops.
"The kids hang out here sometimes, so we need to make sure nobody dangerous starts feeling safe coming here."
"It looks like there's no one here."
Maria starts the car again, and the patrol continues.
Crossing the river, they pull up to the university. Maria parks again and motions Roberts to hop out.
"Time for a meet an greet." She heads towards the dormitories.

A kid sitting outside with a couple of others. He stops playing hackey sack with them when he sees Maria and makes his way over.
"Hey magic mall cops. How's it going." Jimmy Bourbon greets them.

"Hey." Jimmy shakes Roberts hand casually. "I think everything's clear around here. We're making sure nobody runs off on their own at night and all. So we're fine. I hear that Sac City's been having problems though. Rhino says he thinks they're watching his house again. Dunno, you guys might want to check it out and flash some badges, or whatever."
"Let me give you his apartment address, I wrote it down. I'll give him a call to let him know you're coming."
