Rune is joined by a few others at lunch.
Mordekai sits, as awkwardly as ever. He had been a sleepwalker from an early age, his entire life had been spent in an awareness of the impossible. By the time he awakened, (sparked by the death of his cat no less) he was poorly equipped to deal with the mundane world. He practically jumps when the waitress swings by to ask what drinks they would all like.
Ursa is older, he came to Sacramento because his career had stalled down south. He had hoped for a new life here, and most everyone gets along with him. His stories about his ex-wife and old job selling cars are fairly funny, if not just a little sad. But if you get him started about botany, his true passion, he'll talk your ear off.
Archie's feeling much better after the gunshot. On the bright side, relations between the Arrows and the Mystagogues are much better after he had gotten attacked. He's a fairly funny guy, big though. He used to be a Lacrosse player before his car crash had woken him up. He always loved to have long conversations with ghosts, maybe that was why he gets along with Mordekai even though they're so different.

As he sits down Rune looks at the others. "Well it is nice to have a casual lunch we seem to be constantly busy around here."
When the waitress comes by he smiles at her. "Hello could I get a coke please?" After she leaves to get the drinks he looks over to Archie, "You look like you are doing better."

"Yea, I feel great. I was really lucky that my doctor in the ER was one of us. And he had the touch, as they say. It was a very TV miracle moment, 'Let him be healed!' and all."
He grins.
"I have to tell you, I didn't expect that girl to cap me man. She was CUTE, like girl next door church choir cute. She looked right at me, and for two seconds I thought I was in love man. And then she just up and shot me, it was crazy. She barely blinked when she did it."
Mordekai interjects, his unruly hair slipping into his face. "Shouldn't you have been able to see that she was dangerous?"
"Nothing that adorable should be that freakin' deadly man. Guess I just couldn't believe it." Archie Shrugs.

"Shit kid, that's my damn life motto these days," Ursa grunts jokingly. "Though most of 'em will sooner chew your head off than blow it off."
"I don't know," Mordekai whispers. "Phrymides is kindof nice."
The other men burst out laughing.
"Out of your league buddy, I don't mean any disrespect by it. But waaaay out of all our leagues really." Archie says, trying to let down the poor mans hopes gently.

It felt good to just hang out, he had not done this for a while now, he laughed and made a mental note to check out this Phrymides with the way they talked he had to see her.
"I can handle being chewed out." Rune smiles "As long as they don't hospitalize me"

"So Rune, you having any luck with," Ursa leans in and whispers. "The you know what yet? We heard you guys had some leads. I don't mean to pry, but the way most of the other stuff in this town has hit a brick wall this thing is the most interesting work people are doing."

"We got some leads, but nothing direct yet. We got a couple places to check out and we got a name and we got some solid clues on the type of ma... person that was staying there."
He stops for a second to collect himself after that slip he takes a deep breath and continues "Not much but not bad when you consider we started with even less. If we are lucky these clues will lead us to the place"

"Better than what we got," Archie murmurs downbeat. "Mort and I are trying to figure out what's going wrong at Odd Fellows. We've got some guy from the Gs named Agni-Yama, guy is cold. They're worried that people will start noticing, will start getting spooked. So we're... putting stuff down. Man I'm just not used to this shit, it just feels wrong."

"You know Ruby right Rune?" Ursa asks. "Sounds like little miss artist is actually going to get in on some field work. There's some sort of old cave out East with pre-columbian paintings. I guess it has something to do with men who wear the skins of animals, but in a figurative way. But she just jumped when she heard about it, volunteered to check it out. I think I may be stuck chaperoning though."

Rune got up and put his coat on "Well I got an a funeral home that is linked to my search so I think I might head on over there and check it out. Who knows I might be able to get a solid lead."
