 And Then There Were Three...

Returning to the Sanctum, they find it empty, and a note left behind by Azrael and Circe. Disgusted with the day's events and the possibility of future politics, Diana and Chris had decided to return home and consider their future in peace and solitude for a while.
Disappointed, West silently retreats to his room upstairs and sets the alarm for an early wake-up jog.

Ankh made her way to the kitchen early the next morning and began to make breakfast. She knew both the men would probably be hungry and she did say she would pull her own weight, so breakfast seemed like a good place to start.
She started with the basics, pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast. Then she decided to spice it up a bit and cooked up a bit more eggs, scarmbled with chopped up veggies a bit of sausage, and some cheese.
By the time she was done, breakfast was set out on the table and she was starving. Making herself a plate, she sat down and began to eat, hoping the men would wake up before it got cold.

Kai had decided to cast Hurried Rest before going to bed. It was much more useful to only have to sleep a few hours. It gave him plenty of time for his oblations and morning rituals before anyone woke up.

While pondering the filth on the glass, he began his morning oblation:

After finishing up his morning ritual, he meditated for a while, and then smelled breakfast. He walked into the kitchen and smiled at Ankh.

West opened the door to the house after his morning run, and instantly got a feeling of wrongness. Something was... different. He paused, then grinned as he realized what it was.
The house smelled different. It wasn't the usual odor of coffee and Chinese food that eventually permeated every house he had stayed in since partnering with Kai.
Walking in he gave Ankh a wave and a smile. "Wow... thanks...," he said as he toweled off his face and washed his hands.
He had definitely made a good choice.

Then she dug her fork back in and preceeded to chow down.

West nods, picking his silver pen up off the entry console. Sitting down, he grins a Kai, twirling his pen, "Tomorrow's your turn."
West begins to eat as the sound of running water and clattering dishes filter from the kitchen.
"You're a really good cook," he gets out between bites.

Ankh frowned. "No, I said one of you needs to do the dishes, not one of you needs to cast a spell and get the dishes done. That is a waste of energy and not necessary. I find it hard to believe that you are willing to get up early every morning and go for a run but doing something as simple as dishes is below you?"
She shakes her head in disgust. "There is nothing wrong with doing the mundane necessities of life yourself. It keeps you human."

"Actually," West says, "You said 'someone else'. Not either Kai or I in particular." Standing up and tossing his dishes in the kitchen, he continued, "Besides, if I did the dishes, I wouldn't have time to shower and get ready."
West headed upstairs as the dishes continued to wash themselves.

Then a wicked smile spread across her face. "That's ok, we're having real chinese for lunch. I hope he hates it."
She continued to eat her breakfast without rushing. She had already gotten herself ready for the meeting and could take her sweet time eating.

He sits down on the couch and turns on SportCenter, "And it means we sit and wait. Speaking of which..."
West proceeds to tell her the virtues of always keeping her Mage Sight and Shields up, if she's willing to listen.

Before she goes off to her room she turns to West. "Hold that thought and give me five minutes please. Then I will be more then happy to listen."
She rushes off to her room and comes back a few minutes later with a blue suit type of outfit. "There, I feel better now. You were saying West?"
