Anlh quirks an eyebrow. "Uh, nothing that I'm sure you'd like to help me with.This where Kai works? Let's see if we can find him and say hi. Maybe he'll have something interesting going on."
She grabbed West and began moving through the crowd, looking for Kai. She remembered what he was wearing when he'd left, but he could have changed when he got here. She wove her way around dancers and drinkers, ignoring invitations to dace and shoving people out of the way who either didn't want to move, or were too drunk to realize someone was trying to get by.
"This place is packed to over flowing!" She called back to West, not really expecting him to hear her.

By this point there are too many ambient sources of the supernatural to get a bead what in particular is giving you goosebumps.
Mages, ambient spells, and stranger things as well. Things pretending to be human, flocking to a central focus of mortal revelry.
But it's not an atmosphere that seems threatening, it is instead heady and primal, coated with a thick sheen of plastic glamor.

Blackfire made his way around the bar, ditching his drink.
Bartender seemed just a mite pissed, maybe have to find someone to order a drink for me.
He kept to the sides and enjoyed the atmosphere, something interesting was bound to happen.

note:
No mage can scrutinize something that isn't within their normal sensory range w/o sympathetic magic.
So you see the coat, but the lighter is hidden from you as long as it's in his pocket.
Not a big deal, I know. But it is when people try to scrutinize someone on the other side of a wall or hidden.

Ankh shrugs. "Probably not. This many people packed in so close together, just makes me uncomfortable." She smiles anyway and tries to relax further. She looks over at the guy in the jacket, but doesn't really see anything unusual about him. Then again, she wasn't exactly trying either.
She turned back to Kai. "I don't think the patrons would enjoy what I listen to, but thanks. West isn't exactly relaxed either. Gods man, how can you work here night after night? Doesn't the noise get to you?"

It'd be acceptable if the circumstances of the scrutiny actually change.
Like a spirit manifests, or a Mage drops a veiling spell, or a Werewolf shifts into warform, then a second set of scrutiny rolls might be appropriate (w/ approval).
Once you've gathered 6 successes of scrutiny though, I don't think there's another angle to come at it. You've pretty much learned all you can from Mage Sight.
Note that although scrutiny gives you a lot of extremely useful data about a thing, things that we can't possibly communicate OOC, you might not be able to interpret what it should mean if you aren't familiar with the phenomenon.
Maybe altering your senses a little more radically w/ magic might be expedient to figuring this out? Practice of Knowing usually is helpful in these situations.

Kai's attention has been caught by a woman sitting down on the other side of the room. He tries to maintain a line of sight, reading the threads of Fate that tie her to her intended prey. For a moment, his view is obscured by the tangled destiny of a chattering couple who found each other and true Love tonight.
Come on, get out of the way.
And then he sees her again. Needing to figure out what this malevolent woman is thinking, Kai's will pours out and scours the depths of her mind for answers.
There is no resistance... there should have been, every mind resists. And there is nothing there at all, nothing left of whatever mind this woman might once have had. The physical actions of her body driven by the urging of something with no thoughts whatsoever.

Blackfire finds himself seated next to a friendly business manager, (marketing he said?) who's had just enough to drink to be sloppy, but not enough to be irritating. All around him, Blackfire feels a sense of presence. There is magic in this place, and it is fresh.
A woman walks over and leans over the bar hoping to order a drink. She looks over briefly, and catches a glimpse at Blackfire's watch. A quick double take, and she throws a darting smile his way.

Kai looks at West and Ankh dancing on the floor...no need to trouble them yet. If he knew West, he knew West would know by his focus alone that something was up.
He then went and found the head bouncer
"Your boss would understand when I tell you there is something wrong with her" surreptitiously pointing at the lady sitting down. "You need to be ready"
Kai then walked over to her
"Hello, my name is Mike. You look a little distressed. What could I do for you to insure you have a great night tonight?"

"Ok, I need a soda now, the sugar will be good I can just burn it off with more dancing and it will cool me down." She turned to the bartender with a bright smile. "Hey sweetie, can I get a club soda please?"

The woman turns, and as she does she moves her head in just that way that women do to make their hair cascade into place. Like most beautiful women, she tries to make it look like instinct through dedicated practice and flat out cunning.
Her curled blond tresses obscure her right eye as she cocks her head slightly and dips it so that she peers up playfully with her left.
"Well I guess I lucked out then, I was going to get a whiskey sour."
It's a well known fact that bartenders prioritize certain varieties of customer over others. The woman doesn't even have to lean over the bar, the drink is made practically the instant she says it out loud. And her hand dips slowly towards her purse as the glass alights on the counter top, but pauses expectantly as her fingers grip the zipper.

West and Ankh's eyes fling open. (One in abject terror, the other in giddy surprise) The next song trumpets into full volume, and shrieks of excitement pierce the crowd. West can only hope they stay at the bar.

ST note: Kai I think you're a little busy to be dropping burns.
The mysterious brunette turns to the interloper, and her smile and eyes linger on her target for a moment longer.
"That's just about the worst pick-up line I've ever heard, if you weren't so handsome I'd tell you to turn right back around..."
And then her eyes unfocus, and head drops sideways at a painful angle. Her red lips bare wide into a grin and reveal a full mouth of white teeth.
"Oh, you're not like the rest are you? Oh no, not at all..."

The Bartender slides down fills the ice and grabs the fountain dispenser and in a flourish fills the glass as he hands it to her he seems to look her over with that knowing eye.
